This does work for a PlayStation 4, but I do have problems with it connecting consistently upon start up, and still require using my PS4 shock controller to start up the console and set up the remote each and every time.The buttons are clearly marked and function identically to the dual shock controller, the prior mentioned issus with start up still applies.For the value of the money, it is perfect, I haven't had any issues, except to change the batteries from time to time.I since stopped using this remote - not because I don't like the remote, but unfortunately, I failed to keep it out of the reach of my dog who chewed it into bolivian, as as such I am currently looking for a new one

The media could not be loaded. I have two ps4 slims - one in the living room my roommate and I use (called the sala ps4) and my own ps4 in my room. I bought this for the one in my room because the sala ps4 has the pdp brand remote (and they're now like 60 when they used to be 15 or 20... Sick greed...) so decided to try this one. It wouldn't connect to my ps4 in my room, but it connected to the Sala ps4 without issue. I just ended up swapping the new remote for the sala ps4 media remote. This worked great with the Sala ps4 with literally no issues, not sure why mine had issues. Hopefully you get lucky if you buy this cuz I was frustrated having to deal with the errors at first. It's sleek, black, thin, and tbh the backing was difficult to figure out how to remove it (push down from top lol). I wish the buttons were a bit more raised as they are currently pretty flat, but overall for the product and it's merit I'd say it's NOT worth it if you wanna take the risk. Takes two triple A (AAA). After initial setup, I thought everything was fine, but quickly discovered the remote consistently disconnects every few mins, needing to be turned back on each time. Incredibly annoying given how tall this remote is. Would not recommend again. I shelled out what was needed to get another pdp remote

Works well with my PS5. Connected with no issues. Remote will occasionally turn itself off, but not a huge deal to me. Also, much more affordable than the one made by Sony.

Despite the negative reviews I decided to give it a try. No instructions, no box. Would not sync with our PS4.

Frustrating at first because there are no instructions, however it was super easy to connect. Settings>Devices>Bluetooth Devices then on the remote press and hold the Share button and Home button. After a moment it will recognize the remote. Scroll down using gaming controller and select the Media Remote, register and done. Works perfectly! 4 stars because no instructions but works just fine

I've only used it to watch one movie on the PS4, so I can't speak to it's battery life, but initial set up was fairly straightforward. Open the back by pushing down from the top to install batteries. Then follow the instructions listed: go to Bluetooth devices and press the share and home buttons at the same time until it starts flashing quickly. Takes about 7 seconds. Connect and use. So much easier than accidentally skipping scenes using the controller.

No working at allAlso, the delivery person left the package on top of my show car. I have filed complaint after complaint after complaint about this issue.
