This umbrella is not good in any kind of windy areas. It flipped over easily even with the weighted base. Would not purchase again

Do not buy this umbrella it is a piece of crap that uses plastic parts for the moving parts and the second time we opened it up the sliding piece of plastic that holds the arm up broke. I'm going to have to just throw it away save your money.UPDATE. After seeing this review, the manufacture contacted me and offered me a full replacement,not just sending me the replacement part. Yesterday, one week after our agreement, My brand new replacement arrived. I am hoping it was just a defective part on the first umbrellaThey followed through on their promise so I just wanted to clear things up.Thank you Sumbel.

Love this umbrella!! Bought this to help provide protection from the neighbor’s trees that are dropping acorns and walnuts on us while sitting on our back deck! It does the job, and it looks nice!! I was concerned after reading other’s reviews about breezes knocking it over, but it’s not been a problem during light breezes! We used patio blocks to brace the stand, which gives it good stability.

The wind broke it pretty bad after a month!And it was not even a strong wind, I went for a walk, and when the mild wind started, I said to myself, I do not need to go back and close the umbrella, but when I got back home, the wind damaged it badly, the top joint of the main pole was bent, making it useless. That again, the wind was not strong at all, and the umbrella has the wind hat mechanism that is supposed to release some wind pressure out.Also during a month of usage, the design is not good at all: the joining of the main pole with the base is not well done, it can easily rotate, so a soft wind can make your umbrella spinning around the main pole.Seriously waste of money.

This is a great umbrella at a great price. It is large enough and swings so it can cover either our grill for grilling in the rain, or our hot tub for soaking in the rain. It work great. We couldn't be happier with it and highly recommend it.

This item was a replacement for a similar item purchased three years ago. It is easy to assemble and easy to use. My only complaint is that the main vertical support has started to warp in the direction of the umbrella. We have even fashioned a support for the umbrella itself when it is not in use, but this doesn't seem to be helping. Otherwise, a good product.
