Fun to use, no problems with poorly fitting parts or leaking fuel.
Works great! I’d read a number of reviews with complaints of poorly fitting pieces (the cooking attachment and the stabilization attachment in particular), but I was pleased to find that they weren’t a problem. The cooking attachment initially appears to be a hair too large, but it’s not. After getting the first 2 prongs into place, simply squeeze the attachment so that the 3rd prong slides into its groove. Also, I haven’t had any problems with leaking fuel and have been careful to not overfill the tank. Makes a pleasant light and I’ve cooked on it using some of my small titanium campware pots.

Meh. 3.5 stars
This is somewhere between 3 to 4 stars. I give it 4 just to be generous. Dietz has a reputation for being well made, a good point. However, the "cooker" on the top is very disappointing. So save yourself the trouble and do this instead: get a metal coat hanger and a child's toy steel pot with a lid or get a camping stainless steel mug with a lid. Take the metal coat hanger and devise a top for the cup to sit on. That's all this is, it's just basically a bent up coat hanger/thick gauge wire. If I were making this, I'd form a coil around the top of the lantern, one that fits snugly, then criss cross those lines, and form a few that have loops that bend up to go around the cup. You could probably make it in 10 minutes, maybe less. I was also thinking I could have made something similar with two Ball canning jar rims just wired together. I'll use this lantern, but it wasn't worth the money, not at all. By the way, the "cooker" does not actually attach to the lantern, it just sits on top.

Very leaky cap
I love the idea of this hurricane lantern stove combo! But I hate how it leaks...and it leaks a lot. Dangerous. I am currently looking got a better cap or product to help prevent the leaks. Maybe Teflon pipe tape? I'll try it and update my review. But so far, right out of the box...not the most safe gas lantern on the market.

It's extremely low quality
If you have the money to spend, go for it. But it's really not worth it if you need it to cook with, just get a kerosene cooker instead. The construction of it is very thin and weak, and there's still marks from them bending the metal. Overall, it's very low quality

Great for emergencies
Bought for emergencies and very happy with quality lantern.

Good for just warming stuff up.
Don't expect it to cook food. To use it just to heat stuff up and you'll be pleased. Good for canned food, tea or hot (not boiling) water. Definitely won't replace any of my stoves. Great light.

Did not boil water
Might as well forget about boiling water with this, but it sure does make good use of the byproduct heat to warm up liquids, food, or just to keep the tea warm. I tested at sea level and room temperature and it does get the water steaming, but even with the lid closed it does not roll.Fit and finish: 1.5 / 5The steel ring that holds the pot wouldn't fit at all. After several minutes of adjustment with pliers it barely slides into the slot with the amount of force that I'm comfortable to put on this lantern. The cook set that came with it had a couple of fairly large dings and dents in itGlass globe is not that great quality glass either.Wicking and burning : 5/5Overall: 2.5/5Would I recommend this model? If you are thinking to buy this to cook your meal with it and all that, no. As novelty item, yeah. If you need a lantern mainly as a light source, get a different model, like model 80, or 76 instead and use the money on fuel

Cheaply Made- Ok for limited use
Not of the same quality of an older Dietz lamp I own. Would be acceptable for limited use.Forget the additional cooking items included. Concentrate on the lamp quality. Will keep it as a backup.
