100% worth the purchase
Best decision ever! I waited a few cycles of using this to do a review so that it was accurate and have written some tips also that I found helpful as a first time user. This was my first time using period cups, and this set is excellent, it comes with everything you need, a bamboo brush, steriliser, canvas storage bag, 2 sizes of cups plus detailed instructions (see picture). The price was better than other leading brands and I felt this was one of the "prettier coloured" sets.I have always used tampons but they were causing me alot of discomfort ... since swapping to a cup, I no longer have that crampy feeling at the start of my period as badly, or having to deal with the discomfort of removing a tampon when the flow is light at the end of my cycle.I also cannot feel it while wearing it which I was surprised at. It's a very clean way to deal with your period, and you can leave it in all day. Also, if your period isn't heavy, you may only need to empty the cup morning and night.I had a little leakage the first cycle I used it while fully getting the hang of it, but now that I know how to use it, there is no leakage at all.TIPS I HAVE FOUND USING IT:-Practice before your period, when I first got it I tried it out before my period... i found if i wet it under the tap first, or try it out in the shower, it goes in easily. Folding it in half to insert I found was the best method (the instructions call it "The C fold")- Change it in the shower. You can clean it out while in the shower and again, it's easy to put back in as it's wet.-After inserting, run your finger around the cup and you will feel if it is the right full circle cup shape, then it's in right, but if you feel it's dented then just run your finger around it again pushing on it while moving around it and it will pop into place.-you will know you had it in right when first trying it out as it makes a suction noise when removing.-insert standing, not sitting, because when you are sitting everything is lower but when you stand up it all goes up again and then you can't easily grasp the little tail if the cup goes up too far (i made this mistake and it was hard to get it out)-have it far enough in that the tail is on the inside but still reachable (if you do this, you won't feel it at all through the day)Rinse well with hot water each time after emptying it and sterilise at the end of every period before putting it away.-I also found it handy to put it in the day my period is due so that when it starts, you aren't caught out with staining. If you have read this far, hopefully this was helpful and wasn't tmi, long story short, I recommend this :)

Converted - no more pads and tampons
This is the first time of trying one. I practised before I had a period to ensure I could insert correctly. No harm wearing it for a short while without a period for practise. Better trying when your not hormonal/cramping. I wear the large because my cervix is higher after child birth/sexual intercourse. My 1st period - I knew it was approaching so I started wearing it ready. As you can wear for upto 12hrs I was able to leave it in from morning until the evening. I'd remove, wash, rinse, and insert again. I found it went in easier whilst it was still wet and also less risk of getting towel fluff on it.When at my heaviest I wear it for upto 6hrs. You can sort of feel when it needs changing. When you fill the cup it becomes less squishy so you notice you are wearing it. Like wise when need a pee. You feel it. Not painful but like walking with an egg.To remove, its actually not that bad, pour it down the loo, rinse, wash, and repeat. The steriliser pot is great also. I only sterilised at the start of my period, will sterilise once finished and then will sterilise before starting next time. If I was to drop it I would sterilise.I haven't had any leaks. I make sure the cup has popped back up and sealed by running my finger around the tip. I have HEAVY periods always had to wear a tampon and a pad.I can do exercise without feeling uncomfortable. You don't realise how dry tampons and pads make you. You need moisture to protect the delicate skin.I am lucky I work set hours in a place where I am comfortable to use the toilets to rinse if needed. I wouldn't like to do it on a public toilet, only so much pours down the loo. So, it would be obvious at the sink when rinsing.I also couldn't imagine doing it as a virgin. I think you need to have explored that part of your body to understand how it works to ensure its in comfortably. Not to be nervous about going that bit further in so you don't feel it.Long post but I am going to save ££££ every year and no waste in the environment 🙂

Larger than other brands
The small size is a lot more solid and larger than other brands, so not recommended for young girls / menstrual cup first timers. It’ll probably be more discouraging trying to get it to work for them, and more uncomfortable if not quite adjusted to the right position.Otherwise, for those used to them, this seems to be a fair brand, and 2 cups means you can always keep a spare in a wash bag.

Work for me
I have tried a few different cups over the years. I find for me these are the best so far. You get 2 cups for light and heavy flow. And a little tub for cleaning.Every other cup I have used they have leaked and always had to wears a sanitary towel or liner at the same time just incase. These there is no leakage and are very comfortable once in place. I would recommend but these are a very personal choice. But for me a great buy.

Better than big brands for price!
The large looked daunting so I used the small to begin with. I've had 2 children and I'm almost 40, no leaks even on heavy flow (sorry if too graphic, just trying to be helpful) don't think I'll use the large!I've used a well known brand for years and years and this is a 3rd of the price and it come with an extra cup and a Sterilisng pot! Obviously it takes practice if you've not used a cup before but honestly this product is the best value!

Attempting it
Bought to be a little less wasteful and keep costs down yearly and with good reviews on cups and no leaks thought it worth a go! Have to say it was very difficult at first, got extremely nervous! not so easy to remove until you hack it! Little bit of googling helped! Seem to be getting on well with small after some practice, no leaks so far! Nice little kit bag and brush. Would recommend thanks.
