Excellent Chair. Paired with a standing desk this is perfect for tall people. I am 6'5" 230 lbs and it feels great.

Update Dec 28, 2018. After posting the review below HON, to my surprise, unannounced, sent me a replacement hydraulic piston. So my I've updated my review accordingly. If it lasts then this is a 5 star chair, at the moment I've upgraded from 2 to 4 stars. With the customer service as such perhaps the lack of the response to my email to customer support was a fluke, or perhaps they were not willing to provide support when they should have and it took a bad review to make them honor their warranty, who knows. Anyways, it's a generally a solid chair compared to others I've owned and I would take my chance and at this point would recommend purchasing this chair.Old Post Title: 10 months old, chair does not keep height; NO response from HON support. Old Post Review: Title pretty much says it all. Chair now drops 3-4 inches when I sit on it; piston mechanism does not last. Purchased in February 2018, contacted HON via customer support and no response.

Got this chair during the pandemic. Originally it was okay and good for a tall person at a standing desk. But eventually with more use it stopped staying in the position and constantly slides down. I even tried clamping it in place and it’s still hard to get it not to slide.But more recently, with extended use the seat padding has left me with a sore tailbone and muscles and the position it places you in has caused me knee pain. I’m a healthy young adult 6ft 180lbs.I won’t get another Hon chair.

Well made, attractive and comfortable. Assembly instructions could have been a little clearer but not a problem.

There is a rivet on the post that can get the foot rest stuck if you slip it past. Make sure to install the foot rest from the other direction.

I bought this chair primarily because of the height. I have an adjustable height desk, and this chair will go from normal desk height to drafting stool height. Overall it has been very comfortable. I think the seat could be a bit cushier. The height adjustment needs to be cleaned and greased once in a while to keep operating smoothly, but that would be true for any chair with a pneumatic gas lift. My only complaint is the upholstery. My chair has the SofThread Leather upholstery, and it has started to crack after a little over 3 years. To be fair, it has been used several hours a day for over 3 years.
