Witching Hour Must Have
My baby is one month old and is hard to console from about 4:30-8.Today I tried a diaper check, baby simethicone, and this heating pad. She was gulping air from crying until I strapped it to her belly- then she immediately calmed and took a nap. It is amazing.Just be careful to follow the microwaving guidelines for baby safety.

Miracle Product
Our son is very gassy and it causes him a lot of discomfort, especially at night. The first time we used this, he immediately calmed down, passed gas, and was able to soon after push out a poop. Then he was calm the rest of the night. We have been using this a few nights now, and he has been sleeping better and has been able to pass gas SO much easier. We are SO THANKFUL because it breaks your heart to see your little one squirming and crying from gas pain, and now we can all sleep better.

GEL PACK EXPLOSION! GET THE the herbal pack varieties instead
Loved this product and seemed to bring relief to my colicky son who cannot seem to pass gas very easily, and would wake every night between 2:30am and 4am, screaming and writhing in pain. While this was no miracle, it helped ease him while we did different gas-relieving exercises, and seemed to help the gas pass more easily. That is, until only the third use. I bought the owl one because I thought it was the cutest, and didn’t realize there was a difference in packs. The owl comes with a gel pack. I heated for only 15 secs as described, and the third night I heated it, I heard a loud “pop” and realized the gel had built up too much pressure and popped out the side, rendering this thing useless. The other designs aren’t as cute in my opinion, but the wheat/ lavender pack sounds much more user friendly and would likely offer more longevity.

Great Product!
This worked so well for when my son was super gassy!! After his feedings, he was very fussy and so I would warm up the gel pack and place it right back in the Belly hugger without it doing any harm to your child. It also adjust to the size of your child’s belly which is great!!

Colicky baby
Bought this for my colicky newborn granddaughter. It fit all the way around her (she's 7lbs) and the owl covers her whole stomach and chest. Only thing I didn't like was the insert. When putting it in the microwave it made popping noises, I purchased a better insert to use with the wrap.

Great Quality
I love this product, it is great for gassy babies- warm it up before used. It helps to sooth the baby and makes them sleep better through the night.I definitely recommend this product!

Good concept but less than stellar execution
I wanted to like this product--it's cuter than other brands and it's very soft. I did not have an issue with the gel pack exploding (like others); in fact, I had trouble heating it as recommended inside the wet towel--it took a considerable amount of time and as a mom of a young colicky baby...I have no time for that. I had better luck heating it in a bowl of hot water, though it took far longer than 10 minutes and requires a lot planning ahead so it doesn't cool off by the time you actually put it on baby. That brings me to my gripes with the design. Rather than laying the baby onto the open product and wrapping it around to fasten at the front or even the side, you need to lay it on their belly and wrap both ends UNDER and around the baby. This is awkward even if your baby is awake when you do it, but if they're sleepy...forget it. You have a baby who has trouble sleeping anyway who now thinks it's playtime. The warmth of the gel pack doesn't come through the fabric enough to be effective, in my opinion, and the pack cools rather quickly. Lastly, there are directions regarding heating the pack ON the actual pack...but no other instructions. At all. Such as...how tight should I fasten it? How much clothing goes under or on top of it? How long can it be worn at a given time? Should I place it on baby after eating or before? There are literally NO instructions to address any of these important questions or others.I won't review based on whether or not this was a miracle for my baby, as her issues are caused by how she eats and is not a "normal" infant gas issue. I simply found this product to be too cumbersome to continue using in the hopes it *may* provide any relief for her. If I decide to purchase something similar, it will be one of the big name brands that are popular right now that self-heat and fasten at the front.

Can be Useful at Times
It’s a good product in general, but it takes more than 20 seconds to warmup in the microwave. When my baby is crying, and I want to get it ready, it takes too long to prepare and put it on her to calm her down, but it does the job most of the time when she’s not hysterically crying. Basically it’s like the hot water bag for adults, and even that doesn’t always work for us (adults). It works best when combining it with other gas relieving products

Was hoping for more
This works great on a sleeping baby but not when you are holding or carrying the baby because it moves up and bunches up on the chest.
