Very nice
They arrived quickly were packaged well. I went out on a limb and got the purple. So glad I did it's a great color. They seem sturdy although I haven't taken them on a long hike yet. Feel about as lightweight as they could be. Easily adjustable although if I used the height adjustment guide on the minimal instruction sheet I'd be walking bent over. Still I found my own comfort zone. Hand grips feel well designed. Very pleased with purchase. UPDATE: Used them hiking at Zion and Bryce Canyon Utah. SO helpful walking thru uneven ground, up&down slopes. Lightweight, no effort in use just swing naturally and very good at helping maintain balance in tricky situations even on some light icy patches. They are invaluable!

Pretty good poles; tighten often; don’t fit in Medium suitcase.
I’ve been using these poles for quite a while now, mainly on my daily walks with my dog. I have minor balance issues and have had knee replacements, so I do use a cane at times. But walking my dogs is a little difrerent. I am waking on sidewalks, streets grass, dirt, gravel, etc. I need to keep my balance, watch where I’m stepping, and watch my dog. I’ve found the walking pole keeps me more upright than a cane, and the strap hslps support my wrist. I like the anti-shock feature, but really would like a way to lock it in place! As I walk, the pole turns just enough at times to twist the anti-shock feature into the off position. I am constantly having to re-twist the pole to the on position. I’ve had a couple of times where the pole slipped and shortened while using it. I just ensure I tighten the section that adjusts the height periodically. I do find this pole easier to adjust that the ones with a lever-lock system. I’ve been using one pole consistently while walking my dog every day and the wrist strap just gave out and broke. I suppose I should have been alternating poles every day, but I keep the second pole at my back door for use in the yard. I’m going to see of I can make or buy a replacement strap.Overall, I would recommend this set of walking poleswoth one caveat - they do not collapse enough to fit inside a medium-size hard-side suitcase. I was traveling last year and wanted to take these. They would have to be checked, so I tried them in my bag. Since they did not fit, I bought another set that collapsed smaller. After our trip I gave that set to my sister because she and her husband are avid hikers. I continue to use these every day!

Just the right value for a 2pack
Very easy to use, little weight, twist lock holds well, and extra foot pads is a plus.Bag is not that great, but for me I didn't care about it as I didn't plan to use.

Portable and easy to use walking stick
This is a great option for individuals who use a cane. I previously used a cane due to arthritis; however, I found it better for my posture to use a walking stick. Although the walking stick worked great, I found it difficult to put in the car or an Uber due to its length:This adjustable walking stick is the perfect solution:The walking sticks come in a nylon bag with additional tips included. The tips screw onto the bottom if you want to change them. To adjust the length, you simply twist and pull the length of the walking stick and then twist in the opposite direction to secure it in place:The stick itself has a spring at the end of each segment to absorb shocks and your weight when leaning on the stick. It folds compact enough to carry on a backpack or use the available wrist strap. I love them!

Metal tip wears through, not good on hard surfaces.
Durable, easy to adjust. One problem: rubber tip wears then, exposing metal tip which slips on hard surfaces.

Add Trekking Poles to your Walking Workout
These are nice walking poles and a great value for the money. I bought them as a gift for my wife, but have used them a few times for my own walks. If you are new to trekking poles, watch some YouTube videos. According to several videos I watched, you can expect to burn 20 percent more calories when using poles compared to not using poles. That was also my experience when comparing "active calories" on my Apple watch when using poles or no poles and walking the same route on different days.I had to read the instructions to figure out how to tighten the poles to the desired length. You twist the poles to tighten them, not the knob.My only disappointment was the rubber boot did not last as long as I expected. I only used them 11 times for a distance of 24 miles when the tip wore through the rubber boot. However, I was walking mostly on concrete and blacktop.
