Worked!
I tried a few other rams with higher gbs, but my iMac late 2016 never worked...so instead of maxing out, I chose to buy rams EXACTLY the same as the ones in the Mac. It seemed the only solution and fortunately it worked! Now my iMac runs on 16gb(doubled) and it does feel faster.

Mac Ram Purchase
Product works as discussed. Took awhile to order the part as Mac Ram can be a bit weird. But all things considered it was worth it.
