We looked long and hard for a new electric stovetop to replace our Jenn Air, which was14 years old and needed to be updated due to our kitchen remodel. After hours spent researching, comparing, visiting local high end appliance stores as well as the Big Box variety, in the Denver metro area. I found it was ridiculously hard for the average homeowner to access anything that I believed was a quality product, with a high end look, without breaking the bank.Enter this Frigidaire model. I had seen enough comparable products and read enough reviews to believe we had found the right stovetop.Though I was able to find a better price from other online stores, it wasn't by much and AMazon's return policy, can't be beat!It came well packaged and on time.Once installed it was easy to use.Keeping it clean is a pain, just like my two previous smooth cooktops.It's function has been excellent but it's greatest feature is how nice it looks.You will not be disappointed!

I've had this installed for about a week and cooked multiple things on it. It is the best smooth cooktop I have ever cooked on, and I've had many over the years. All burners heat up very fast (and cool down quickly for nice simmering), and the front two burners are dual zone and with beefed up wattage, so they boil water extremely quickly. The warming zone is a very nice feature as well. My absolute favorite part of this cooktop for me are the knobs, they are heavy duty, not plasticy AT ALL, they feel very commercial, and they come off easy for cleaning, too. Obviously, you have to be aware of spills with a glass cooktop, but as long as you have a razor blade scrapper for it (sold at most grocery stores by the cooktop cleaners), you'll be fine. I personally use liquid Comet as my cleaner of choice. The stainless steel trim is very nice looking, and along with the knobs, make the piece look very high end. I can't recommend this unit enough.

Wish I'd picked a different cook top. I was looking for an attractive, smooth top for a kitchen remodel. I installed it myself and it slid right in. Before and after.So after about 18 months of daily use... several elements don't work well. It's either medium to high heat or nothing. My loving wife swears while trying to cook.Sadly I'm online shopping for a replacement.

Updated 7-26-2020I bought the first one of these in late 2013. This unit is replacing the identical cooktop that has a broken switch. While cleaning it with the knobs removed- the switch for the warmer broke when re-installing the knob. As I was not the one who did it, I will assume it was a user error and not a product problem. This did create a different issue. The warmer did not want to turn off... You had to jiggle the knob just right to get it to stay off until the new cooktop arrived.After 7 years of use-PROs1. Love the big front burners. Plenty of power.2. Front burners can be used large or small.3. Looks great when new4. Knobs off to the right and out of the wayCons1. Scratches too easily2. Stains can be hard to remove3. Over time, the temperature controls seem to be less effective - sometimes seems like it's either full blast or super low.4. Overall durability? Scratches, Markings wear off, knobs may stop working properly.5. It's now discontinued and getting hard to find.Would I buy again? Well I just did. $749. Most 30 inch cooktops are 4 burner w no warmer. and At least I know what I'm getting with this and the counter was cut to fit this unit.Good Luck!Part of Original Review- I have only used the warmer a couple of times. It's a great feature to have and worth the money.For installation, this is a 3 wire job. Black, red, and green. No white. This was my first time with this configuration, and you cap off the white from the power supply. Also check you dimensions carefully, the box containing the burners was about 1/2" wider than the unit it replaced. I had to have someone else come out and cut the granite counter top. Being the genius that I am, I had already removed the old cooktop and disconnected it. It was a weekend so it was Tuesday night before we could use the new cooktop.So far the cooktop has worked flawlessly, just remember those front burners really crank out the power, I am constantly turning the power below 2.5-3...

Installed myself several months ago. It was a pinch bigger then the current hole in my laminate counter top. Out came the jig saw and 20 min later it fit. you should know what you are doing to get the wires correct, I have done lots of wiring in my home. We find it heats the tea water up faster on the big burner with the outside edge on too. Our older glass top lasted 20 years, one of the burners died but the lines on the glass were fading and the knobs looking old. The replacement burner as pretty expensive, so this fit the spot. One thing, a number of the 30" counter tops have large extensions below the top. I had draws under mine and this was one of a few that was very thin to make it fit with the draws still working.

Excellent electric stove top. The front two heat up a pot of water very quickly. Warmer is a nice addition to it and the knobs are well constructed. They pull off easily to clean as well. Feels like an industrial strength stove top because of the knobs but i really like it compared to the plastic ones. Cooked on it about 8 times now without any issues heating quickly or failure. Only time will tell about reliability and I will post an update if it ever fails me prematurely.

Excellent cooktop, easy install and looks, works great! Heats up fast and easy to clean as long as you are careful.
