SunFounder LCD2004 Module with 20x4 White Characters on Blue Background, Compatible with Arduino

I used it for a rotary encoder reader to mesaure angle with a R02040 Pico. It worked fine, just a little bit slow due to the use of I2C. Nice brightness and easy to set up.

It interfaced perfectly with my "Arduino UNO REV3_A000066". I'm able to display the date, day, time and temp in fairly large letters. I like the contrast adjustment that helps the text stand out clearly. I've been using it for several months now and, so far, so good.

Same library and commands as the smaller 16X2 that comes with the Arduino starter kit.

Works as advertised

The rpi pico example program for this device expects the i2c address to be 0x27, just like the listing says.The bus_scan demo showed it at 0x3F. It worked fine after this adjustment was made in the program.(Dont forget the 3.3v to 5v level converter if used with pico).

Adjust the contrast pot on the I2C board.Other than that little curveball it's great.Not the worst problem you can have!Also bought the 2004 model and the I2C backpack needed to be re-soldered to the LCD.Not going to complain much considering the price. Works great

Using this was a breeze! It just took 4 wires and the I2C LCD library and I was good to go. I'm using it with an Arduino Pro Mini 5V. I love that the I2C module comes pre-soldered. A quick hint on using this: if you find that it sometimes prints out garbage characters, especially when jostled, try adding a capacitor connected across VCC and GND. I had this problem and found that doing this solved it. Adding a capacitor keeps the flow of current steady even when the voltage dips.

But1) They don't give you the pin out - just a Fritz 'picture' of the circuit board. I made the pin out table, in the attached picture2) Their sample code is overly complicated if you are using this as one of your first LCD tools (as I am).Just try lcd.print(" Hello World!") ; lcd.scrollDisplayLeft() ; delay(250) ; lcd.scrollDisplayLeft() ; delay(250) ; lcd.scrollDisplayLeft() ;// etc. Actually, put the above in a loop, but I don't want to complicate the example.

I connected the display to a Raspberry Pi 3 and it worked perfectly !

Con su placa de 4 pines, ha cumplido mis objetivos a la hora de un cableado extremadamente sencillo.Lo recomiendo ya que este tipo de displays suelen venir sin pines y hay que tirar de soldador.

ottimo display che richiede a differenza di quello normale solo due pin per essere utilizzato.Si riesce così facilmente ad integrare con tutti gli altri sensori in modo molto più veloce e facile.Molto luminoso e facilmente leggibile anche in presenza di altre fonti luminose con un buon grado di lettura.Ottimo

I use it connect ATmega328P by TWI. It is very easy to connect and displays bright.
