Honest to god quiet.
This really is quiet. I have to look for bubbles in the filter to be sure it's working. It is a little bit more money than other pumps with similar specs but I think it's worth it since this pump is in my bedroom. It's heavy and well made. This is a new brand to me. I think it's Korean made. I really like their products.

very quiet
This is a very quiet air pump machine for sure. Also, the adjusting bulb was working great. Only negative point that I have for this product is the plastic air tube. It is pretty cheap, and you may need to purchase a different tube.

Dead Quiet
The media could not be loaded. Discontinued use of a Vivosun magnetic air pump, which I was using to aerate/circulate my 105 gallon vertical RO water tank, plus run 2 sponge filters in a 20L quarantine tank. The magnetic air pump sounded like a 2-stroke. This new air pump is completely silent; only hearing the air bubbles from the 2 sponge filters (and converted to an actual circulation pump for the RO tank).

Very poor air pressure. NOT 190GPH as claimed. But pump IS very quiet!
For myself for years I have grown hydroponic vegetables indoors for enjoyment as house plants in 5 gallon buckets. Not only do I get to enjoy the green all summer, I get to harvest the food right from my living room and it's easy to set up! In this corner of my living room I have 1 tomato plant and 2 cabbages in 5 gallons of nutrient water each. In the picture you can see the boxtech 190GPH pump being used on the bottom right. I have an "old" 100GPH pump from 1985 which bubbles all three 5 gallon buckets just fine. However it is very "buzzy" and noisy. So looking at Amazon I found the boxtech 190GPH. It had good reviews that said it was very quiet. I was excited because they extra air would be nice bonus for the plants and I could get rid of the old BUZZER loud air pump.Well the pump arrived today and I have to say I'm quite sadly disappointed. On the good side I will say this pump makes next to NO noise whatsoever! That is really impressive and good for quiet sound which is why I gave 3 stars. What is bad is their claim of 190GPH is complete bunk/false! It might move that much air if you don't put it in any water! After hooking it up, it will bubble 2 buckets for a grand total of 10 gallons. But it absolutely can't bubble 3 buckets for a total with ONLY 15 GALLONS WATER that my 100GPH was able to do fine?? The air pressure coming out of this boxtech pump is too weak! 10 gallons was the max I could bubble unless I moved the 3 air stones up near the surface of the water. If you are looking for a quiet pump this pump is the quietest I ever tried. It may be OK if you have a medium tank that is not too deep. But it's air pressure is so weak it struggles badly in my 15 gallons. So the claim of 190GPH I feel is a false advertisement which is inexcusable and too common these days with online shopping. :(

Very quiet and low vibration compared to other pumps
I bought this and a few other pumps on Amazon, including the whisper and Danner. This one was the quietest, and I even use a decibel meter to measure.Boxtech - 46 dbWhisper - 48.5 dbDanner - 54 db (2 valve)Make sure you use a return valve on any pumps that are lower than the tank like in a cabinet. This is in case the power goes out so water doesn’t flow backwards underneath your tank.If you want to reduce the air pump noise, even more, you can put a silicon pad under your air pump for vibration absorption and then you can use some noise insulation foam in the cabinet. I did this and reduced it from 46 to roughly about 39 1/2 DB.

Premature failure both diaphragms in less than 4 months
This airpump has Zidee on it, not Boxtech as one would expect as the listing describes. It has two outputs which was what I wanted in my 125 tank. In less than 4 months one of the diaphragms cracked and would not push air. In less than a week later, the 2nd side failed as well and now my sponge filters are useless. A week ago I asked the seller to help me remedy the premature life of this unit and have not received any communication back so now I have a pump that is useless in less than 4 months and no backing of their so called 12 months warranty. Upon disassembling this unit, the diaphragms appear no different than cheaper pumps so that's where I will be going again. Amazon needs to be aware when sellers do not honor their products description. Buyer beware.
