Good value - Takes a little finesse to deploy and common sense to keep it from self destructing during the winter months
Bought this unit for our cabin in the Sierras last April (2017). Umbrella was stored out of the weather during the winter and is only used during the sunny months. Typically used every other weekend and we leave it out on the deck fold up until the next trip. The only real issue I had was that the housing for the crank handle would capture and retain quite a bit of dew water. This water would spill out when deploying the umbrella. I was able to fix the issue by applying some RTV sealent around the top of the housing. I have already recommended this unit to other cabin owners in the area.-LJ-

It would be better if the weights would tie into each other
The reason is the same as I rated the weights. The weights were ok but the flanges on the umbrella stand was to narrow for the weights to worked effectively. It would be better if the weights would tie into each other. The first wind that came up the umbrella blow down. Only used the umbrella one time for safety reasons. Very disappointed.

Has held up great so far
Has held up great so far. I noticed that if it is windy or rainy it will sag quick so I suggest making sure you always pull it in. It was easy to put together and quite heavy duty but will NOT stand without the supports or being bolted down.

Stay away!!!
Bought two of these. The first came broken and the wrong color the second was set up for two weeks and broke in half. Totally disappointed and would not recommend. Too top heavy,

Broke.
Broke. And I've spent far too much time trying to get resolution, so I guess it goes back. The seller sent new parts but I would need to drill out rivets and supply nuts and bolts to put them on. The seller has tried to send instructions in an email attachment, but blocked by Amazon. At this point, no longer worth the time and effort. Too bad, because for the money, seems like an ok product. If you get a working one, probably ok.
