Next step to the sight words
Pretty cool toy! Does require quite some adult guidance though, even for an advanced reader. My daughter (almost 5), is really trying to build sentences (though many still don't quite make sense yet), and she already knows lots of sight words. So this is really perfect for her. We try to keep her interest in there as much as possible.

Useful teaching aid for kids and adult.
I am a teacher for ESL kids and adult with special need, and I have been using this learning game with both groups of my student. I like that it’s a puzzle and students liked the hand on putting together experience. All the words are color coded and double sided with pictures or writing practice. It comes with suggestions of how to use the puzzle, but the fact is, there are so many ways I can use it ! Just be creative! The only part that I wish it could have been better was the “A” and “An”, it should come with lower case in order to create sentences. Good thing that the kit also came with several blank puzzle pieces that I can just write the words I need.Still, highly recommended it for parents or teachers that works with beginning English level.

Excellent assist for early reader
The puzzle aspect really attracts my kindergartener grandson, but the best thing about this is the number of "sight-words" included in the bunch. The modular design lets him build on his sight word knowledge and incorporate iconographic clues to make whole sentences and even simple stories. Even with the large number of sight-words, there is enough variety in the pieces to allow him to make a large number of sentences. The puzzle connecting aspect as well as the color-coding also helps with some basics of grammar (his mother is a grammar nerd) but that's more an afterthought. All in all, he enjoys building sentences, and, as he advances in his reading, the grammar elements will become more important.

Educational and so much fun!
We love Channie’s Sentence Builder Puzzles! This idea is very educational and so much fun! It comes with a bunch of different puzzle pieces that have words and pictures on them. Your little one can trace the letters to learn how to spell and write. You can attach the puzzle pieces to each other to make sentences. It comes with a black dry erase marker with an attached eraser, so you can write on the puzzle pieces and then make a whole new puzzle over and over!

good skilll builder
The sentence builder comes with 60 words cards, 30 picture cards, 4 punctuation cards, and 6 blank cards. They are a big enough size that children can handle them easily and it comes with 1 marker. The cards appear to be fairly sturdy. The black marker that comes with the kit has an eraser on the back. It would have been helpful to have extra markers included, although any dry erase marker will work with the tiles. I would recommend this set to anyone looking to build spelling, writing, and sentence creation skills with school-aged children.

Great for school
This is great in my classroom. It help reinforce my students with writing sentences. Allowing my students to build the sentence to find the words they say and copy it helps a lot with their writing skills. This is great in any classroom or as a gift

Great to practice putting sentences together
This is fun and encouraging for kids to learn to build sentences. But I don't think adding the tracing of the letters is because for one, once a child does that they look at it as being done and won't go back to it. Even though you can erase the tracings it's been done...
