It does not disable the microphone. The privacy cover cuts the video feed, it doesn't just cover the lens - the mic is unaffected and continues to output an audio stream regardless of whether the privacy cover is on or not.

It does not have a built-in speaker.

Does this support blurred and virtual backgrounds in video conferencing tools such as zoom, microsoft teams and google meet?

I just have a blurred background and this works as before. I think these functionality is in Zoom rather than the camera. I'm please with the quality of the camera.
