Great stopping power and reasonable price
Was riding Palm Canyon Epic on a Salsa Bucksaw, brougt along these brake pads "just in case" well it turns out during some of the longer downhill sections I found my rear pads fading and my lever moving closer to the bars. At our next stop I quickly swapped out the worn out pads for these, they fit nicely which made for a quick change, my lever was back in position and on we went, after the initial seating of the pads they work great, plenty of stopping power, fairly smooth and quiet, glad I tried these out, will update as I use them more if anything changes.Update, 10/13/2021 The pads were fine on the Palm Canyon Epic dry conditions, but on my normal early morning rides, which can be just a little damp from night time dew, the pads are fine on my first downhill section, but every downhill after, they squeel, really loud, I mean really really loud, Ive tried a couple off brand pads, but none seem to be a good as the original Sram pads, I loved the prices, but cant stand the squeel.

Great MTB Disc Brake Pads
I bought the sintered metal, decent pads wear a little unevenly but have great stopping power, and no noise with SRAM Guide R.

Inexpensive, good performance with some issues
First of all these pads have thicker bedding material than the standard SRAM pads. A lot thicker: so much so that you’ll probably have zero play left in your brakes and you might even have to bleed a little fluid. I have Guide R brakes, 2018 model. Stopping power is as good as OEM. They make more noise and squeak compared to OEM, and have lower life than OEM.Major downside: they will blacken your rotors. The SRAM pads leave your rotors clean and shiny, but these pads have made my rotors look like I rubbed a bit of tar onto the rotor surface. It doesn’t affect braking, so it seems to be just cosmetic so far.I’ll update this review over time. The price was certainly right, so that’s a plus!UPDATE: I contacted the manufacturer about the staining of the rotors and they said they're reformulating the pad compound to fix the issue.I've done a number of really aggressive rides with these pads and they work really well - excellent stopping power and no fade that I could tell. They're noisier than the SRAM pads when they get really hot, but they still stop really well.UPDATE 2: I have removed these pads and gone back to the SRAM sintered, after using sandpaper and Windex to clean all the black residue from these pads off the rotors. I will keep them as spares only.

Stop great
A little thicker then stock but after a ride they broke in perfectly, stopped rubbing and work great.

Good value and great to have on hand
I ride my mountain bike 4 or 5 days per week so I go through pads pretty quickly. Swapping out pads is super easy. You just need to keep some on hand. I got the semi metalic. Way more durable than the organic pads but the trade off is that howl when I brake hard while the organic pads were silent.

Pad separated after 5 months
One pair lasted almost exactly 5 months of off road trail riding, 30 miles a week. Some significant descents in there. These are 1/5th the cost of the srams though so it might still be worth it, trying those next. They worked fine before they broke.

Braking Surface Not Conducive to Wet and Gritty Riding
At first the brake pads worked wonderfully until they got wet and grit from the trail got between the braking surface of the pad and the wheel disc. After that they became very noisy and nearly unresponsive.A bit of advice, if you are planning to ride in areas where you may encounter mucky and muddy paths then you need to be very considerate of what type of braking service that pad offers; resin, semi-metallic, or organic. In my experience with trail riding, especially during particularly rainy climates, choosing a brake pad that is made from semi-metallic material has worked best. For the price, the pad is good but the materials of the braking surface needs to be carefully considered before deciding to purchase a pad such as this one.
