Been a seeker of coffee perfection since my wife bought me an espresso/steamer in 2011. Have tried coffees from all over the world "in search of" the perfect milk drink coffee. Have fallen in LOVE with a couple of different ones over the years. But in April of this year, I married this one -- NAPOLI. A match made in heaven... I thought.Last month I cheated and tried their BAR espresso. I'm glad I did. I'm not going to divorce NAPOLI. But I will be spending much of my time with my new lover -- BAR. She is just too interesting and too good to quit.Now, I have yet another confession to make. Tomorrow morning, I have a meeting with this brand's 3rd espresso roast -- ORIGINAL. We will see how it goes. I can't imagine it being better than BAR. But, at this point, nothing surprises me from this company.I'll let you know how it goes. But I'm guessing it will be another great one. At this rate, I might even be open to a threesome.All metaphors aside, this is seriously great coffee. Update: For anyone interested in the continuing soap opera of As The Grinder Turns, or All My Coffees, or Santa Barista...My first date with ORIGINAL was more of a speed date - it was ok, but I could tell quickly it wasn't going anywhere. I can see how some might find her attractive and interesting. But ORIGINAL was just a bit of a tart.As for the others in my life. I have divorced NAPOLI, and have married BAR. It was an amicable divorce. NAPOLI and I are still good friends, and I might see her occasionally. But BAR and I just have so much in common. She is the only one I can see myself waking up with every morning.The Beginning.

Decided to try these beans based on good reviews. Opened the bag not expecting much, smell was good but i've had better smelling Italian beans. Pulled a shot. WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE and a treat! Beautiful fresh beans, roasted to perfection. Espresso comes out strong, smooth and not bitter. Perfectly balanced, acidity on the lower side just the way I like it. Just slightly bitter dark chocolaty aftertaste.Conclusion: These the only American roasted Italian style whole coffee beans worth buying.IMPORTANT PULL NOTES: This coffee is somewhat more sensitive to proper extraction techniques than others i've tried before. Based on my experimentation an incorrect grind size and/or use of a cheap espresso machine is more likely to result in an under-extracted /bland shot.Gaggia Classic, on the other hand, worked great creating a slower flowing satisfying stream of rich espresso topped with a thick layer of crema.I am hooked.Please support these guys, this kind of quality is very hard to find these days!

I’ve been trying several different espresso beans for my Breville machine. I am a big fan of bagels and cappuccino for breakfast every morning. These beans are strong enough to cut through the foamed milk and offer a pleasant, smooth coffee flavor. I’m definitely sticking with this brand!

Good strong dark coffee. Clean flavor. It didn't upset my stomach or give me the shakes. I bought it when it was one of those Amazon deals. The regular price seems to be reasonable.If you need to know: I brew my coffee STRONG. I grind it fine in a little counter top grinder and strain the hot water through Melitta filters. Then I drink it out of a white cup, black. Goes good with a morning newspaper. The coffee and the filters are compostable. Brewing coffee is such a pleasure and a part of a good start of a day. Very weak. It's nothing like described. Only keeping it because my husband likes mild/light blends.

I am always trying different brands of espresso beans looking for a balanced but intense aroma and a good crema. This one surpassed all we have tried before. Excellent aroma with a subtle chocolate Flavor at the end and beautiful crema. For now I will stop looking for other beans to try and stick to this one. Glad we found this brand!
