These are thicker. I buy these for my husband who wears steel toe boots. Carhartt is the longest lasting socks I have found which means he gets about 6 months out of the them.

I get a blister from my carhartt steel toe even with these socks,so I am thinking probably just the shoes don't fit just right, the socks are great medium thickness
