I can't find any definitive articles on the sb7 vs the sb11, what is everyone's thoughts?

There is a lot different between the two boxes. There is also a difference between which generation sb7 you get actually. The sb7's are all made extremely cheap and the internal speaker is horrible. The SB11 has a much better speaker and is actually two sb7's with two speakers in one box. Each speaker is liked to a channel so you can pick and sweep two fm, 2 am or one of each at a time if you wish. The temp monitor system in the sb11 sucks and constantly seems to go off for no reason. Both devices are noisy but the sb11 is even more noisy. Spirits do NOT like white noise which I learned shortly after getting my box. I would get many one word replies on my SB11 but over all hacked radios work a TON better, get longer responses, can be way cheaper and are smaller. check out my website to hear various videos from my SB11, My Jensen Hacked radio and my newest device the Portal. www.HauntedHideouts.com you can hear everything there to compare. Also regardless of which box you pick always always record your sessions because you will have audio on the recorder that you did not hear live as spirits manipulate the audio they use to speak with onto the recorder somehow.

How do you talk to the spirits with the sb11, do you just speak, or do you need a recorder with mic as well? Thank you

It's always best to record your sessions, sometime the voice that comes through might be a mere whisper and if you recorded it you can play it back over and over again. I use a simple Olympus digital voice recorder and download to my laptop and use 'Audacity' audio editing program to examine the session.  Audacity is free and safe to download for Linux, Windows or Mac.

You could ask the spirits a simple question say pick up a pen, cup or anything really and ask them can you see what I'm holding in my hand? can you tell me what it is?...9.5 times out of 10 you'll get a correct reply then you can go from there. Once I picked up a cup of coffee and asked what was I holding. The reply came "coffee", I was expecting 'cup'....I had to get the smart alec spirit, lol.

Just a brief aside here. It's always a good idea to say an invocation or prayer of protection before you start your session and when you're done thank the spirits and tell them to go now and shut down your SB7 or SB11.

Just remember contacting the spirits isn't like phoning a call center where there's someone just waiting to talk to you. Sometimes there's no one there and other times they're tripping over each other just to say hello. Be respectful and polite to them as you would be to a living person...it goes a long way to establishing a good relationship,

Is this device really loud or one of the quieter ones?

My Wife and I have been investigating for over 35 years, and I get this question all the time, the best Ghost/Spirit box we've ever used is the P-Sb7, it's loud, i'ts noisy, it has a ton of White Noise, but what people do not realize is, that's what most Ghosts and spirits use to hep them communicate, so if you have a quiet Ghost/Spirit Box that's quiet and picks up a lot of EVPs, voices, let me know I want one, We sold our P-Sb7 2 years ago to buy the 11 model, within 1 week My wife made me buy back the 7 model, it's that good and that big of a difference, the 11 is a superior built piece of equipment, but it just does not work that well, and for us not at all, I just sold it after hanging on to it for nearly 2 years, I tested it dozens of times, it just didnt work well, the 7 model if you know what your doing and how to use it, you can hear the voices coming from the P-sb7, we can turn it on in our own living room at anytime of day or night and get voices, they are mostly not here, where they are, I don't know yet, we get many answers to that question, but who knows, either way, YES the 11 model is quiet, but instead of spend well over $100 get a 7 model and learn to use it correctly, and a Rem Device, which is the best piece of detection equipment out there, I've seen the Red Pod of $99 on amazon, not the Rem Pod, it's overpriced, but the Red pod, it's better, don't waste your money on the 11, they improved the build quality and looks but not the ability of it at all, I would never own one again.

How much clearer are the evps? would you still have to use audacity for noise reduction?
