Very good, but could use some improvement.
I purchased this Gen 2 version of the Saker grease gun coupler for its slender design to get into tight spots. I also bought the more expensive, but highly trusted competitor that comes with a rebuild kit. The following are my observations.I wanted a tip that I could put on and remove from zerk fittings without having to apply any force. This would be handy in awkward situations. The jaws of the competitor are freely moving and extend from the housing 1/2 inch when the lever is depressed. This allows the jaws to grab onto the fitting and tightens up as you release the lever. There is absolutely no resistance during this process. In contrast, the Saker jaws are not independent, free moving jaws. From my experience, the jaws appear to be a solid structure with slits cut into it, giving the appearance of 6 individual jaws. This gives the tip some flexibility when pushing it onto the zerk fitting. The jaws only extend 1/8 inch from the housing when the lever is depressed, thus limiting the jaws from expanding. As a result, it requires a small amount of force until it snaps into place when applying and removing the coupler. It’s not the end of the world, but in a tight, awkward space, it could be inconvenient. As seen in the photos, the Saker tip is longer, which comes in handy with recessed or shrouded zerks. The overall diameter of the Saker Gen 2 is 14 mm versus 16 mm with the competitor.Overall, I think the Saker is a fantastic product for the price point. I personally wouldn’t even consider any of the other cheaper options. I prefer the more expensive model over the Saker because there’s absolutely no resistance when applying or removing the coupler, it comes with a rebuild kit and its long-standing reputation. You will need to decide for yourself which will fit your needs best. For around $20, the Saker is very respectable!I hope some of this detailed information helps!

Defective tool?
This coupler is EXTREMELY hard to squeeze to get open. I'm talking two hands. Not a simple one-handed operation as shown in their videos. Looks like I got a defective item. I have e-mailed the company and am waiting for a response.

Strong finger strength required, way better than Lock n Lube
After getting sick and tired of my four Lock 'n Lube couplers leaking and no one from Lock 'n Lube ever replying to my calls or emails, I decided to try Saker. I can say that, if you can get it clamped onto the zerks fitting, it will not leak...ever! That said, you better have really strong thumb/finger strength to operate these. I greased one of our GMC duallies yesterday. It normally takes an hour, two acts of god and a lot of swearing to get the two idler arms done. Manning up, or whatever you say nowadays, and squeezing the crap out of the coupler lever, I got it done in about 10 minutes. I highly recommend these, especially for easy to access fittings like on tractors, dozers, etc. I just bought three more to replace all my Lock 'n Lube couplers on all my grease guns.

14 pounds of pressure to open
This thing is very well made. The 3 stars is because it takes 14 pounds of pressure on the thumb lever to open. If you’re trying to grease 1000 year old fittings this might be good but for the everyday fitting this is far too strong.
