A good pair of fin socks
I bought these for use with fins while doing drills in the pool. Using the fins without any type of sock was giving me blisters on my feet so I got these in an effort to add some protection. They're working great! I've had them for a few weeks now, using them 2 to 3 times a week, typically 400m to 600m per session. I haven't had any problems with blisters since I've started using them. They seem to be holding up fine so far with no signs of wear. I rinse them with cold tap water after each use and let them hang dry. There is a seam that runs the length of the sock and across the toes. As long as I get it positioned right when putting them on I don't notice it at all while swimming. We'll see how well they hold up over time, and I'm sure the chlorine will break them down some, but so far I'm very pleased, these meet my needs, and I'll get another pair when/if these wear out.

Good socks
These are my first diving socks. I love them, but only needed them once in a while on a scuba trip (they became handy when mosquitos / flies bit my ankles, discouraging my boots from chafing against sores and cuts). I did wish the seams were in the same place as normal sports socks...They felt strange at first. But they worked well and made me very happy.

Great addition to my snorkeling arsenal
Great addition to my snorkeling arsenal. I bought these on a whim thinking it might be nice to keep the sand from chafing my feet. they fit very well as a one size fits all. its a bit weird where there is no heel in the sock, yet it is actually quite comfortable once you have them on. especially once they are wet. they keep your feet from burning too badly on the sand, however on a hot day you still need a pair of flip flops, or shoes. they are also very comfortable in a pair of fins. i would imagine they are not for super cold water however in Hawaii or California they were perfect. they do help your feet stay warmer than when you dont have anything on. i had no chafing whatsoever with a few snorkel trips lasting over an hour. the material feels quite nice even when wet. they dont stick to your skin like regular socks do when wet. there is a seem in them running the length of the sock, you just need to position the seam on the side of your foot, then you dont even feel it at all. a great pair of socks and at a good value!

Fit My Needs Perfectly
I bought these for two reasons: to reducing chafing and make it easier to take my fins off, particularly after a long dive while bobbing at the surface prior to exiting the water. The do a great job on both accounts. Just enough material to stop the chafing on my toe bones and just slippery enough so my fins come off easily when exiting (and the socks stay on when the fins come off). And not so expensive that you can't manage to have a back up pair in case of loss or damage.

Orders socks. Got something else
Update... I have received the replacement order from the shipper and can now give my initial impression of the socks. The socks are “one size” and are a one piece design and not anatomically made but fit fine. My actual foot measures 11 1/4”(28.5cm) long and 4”(10.1cm) wise. The top of the sock is double stitched which should prove to hold up to abuse and retain elasticity. The inner seam is not flat sewn so it may or may not prove to be an irritation while in use with booties or fins but isn’t a problem with open wear around the house so far. I will update with a report after use in booties and fins. Three stars for basic material, construction and fitment.I ordered these socks to help out with compfort when using dive booties. As others have pointed out they were shipped something else besides socks, me Too. This was some sort of compression band may e for weight training. I don’t know. Returning and trying to see if I will get the socks on the next go around.

Great for snorkeling
These are fantastic. I snorkeled 4-5 hours a day with these on and did not get any blisters over a 9 day vacation. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They fit me (women's 8.5) and my husband (men's 9) well, but they might not work as well for people with much larger feet. It was nice to be able to get out of the water, and take off my fins, then take the sand off with my socks! They aren't super protective on rough terrain due to their thinness, but it felt much better than bare feet. A few stray pieces of sand were sometimes stubbornly stuck on them, but they generally cleaned off very easily. Make sure you consider your socks when fitting your fins, as my husband got too tight fins and the socks did not work as well for him.

Good for motorcycling, walking too
I have been looking for socks that will provide great ventilation in hot weather on the bike. I found that these socks do just that. In addition, they cling to your feet pretty good without feeling hot or constricting and allow an airspace in between your feet and the shoes aiding the ventilation. They do slip around in shoes so that is something to be aware of if you are using them for something other than their original purpose like I am. The slipping around isn't at all like it is when cotton socks do that. Since the socks are pretty much a second skin with a slippery outside, I think they reduce the likelihood you would get blistering from chafing and bunching like some cotton socks do. My feet don't normally stink but they do sweat a lot and my socks and shoes develop odors a bit over time from being damp. These socks smell like nothing even after wearing them sweating away all day.One final note, since these socks are a single piece of flat material folded over and then sewn, the seam usually ends up right below the nail on the front of the shoe if you wear them with the seam next to your arch. This can cause the seam to put pressure on the tips of your toes if you pull them on tightly. I usually leave a little slack near the toes which works itself out without becoming too compressive.
