Get out the hankies!!
As the second book comes to the end, all I can think about is, wow just wow!!!There's an awful lot going on throughout the book. But trust me when I say, really think of this book is one for you.Not because it's rubbish, it's because their is so much stuff that could trigger a person!! The authors don't put the warning as a joke after all.So if rape is a huge no for you, trust me when I say, skip this one. There's other stuff too, but the rape is the biggest one to be warned about!!However, if it's something that you are able to read, then trust me when I say, this book is excellent. Now don't get me wrong, rape is never ok, but the reason I've said this book is excellent is the way it has been written!! I've always freely admitted that I have gone through it and I've always appreciated the fact, that authors are getting this out there and it's done with as much sensitivity as possible. The authors have always ensured that it isn't written with a blase attitude and have helped to empower the female characters that have been dealt with such. It's because of that, that I can accept reading these sorts of books.I have also, as silly as it may seem, find that such things actually helped me more so than the therapists i have seen!! Now that's not to say that every survivor of rape could relate like this or that therapists don't help people, I'm just saying it didn't help me.I found with this book, I cried more than I have with others, not sure why to be honest, but I have. And it's not just when the attack happened or the recovery after that I cried either. I seemed to tear up a lot with this book in its entirety. Both heart breaking, sad and also happy tears. So if you're a cryer, make sure you've got your hankies to the ready, as this is one that will have you sad and crying one minute, to happy laughing out loud tears the next. I felt hormonal by the end lol ๐๐It's a really great book, so buy it and read it now. Also while you're at it, also buy the audio too.We again have Kelsey Navarro reading for Kiara and James Anderson Foster reading for Liam. With another excellent narration and I must admit, these two really go well together. The only thing in any way negative is when Kelsey does the voice for Declan. When first introduced to Kiara it's actually noted that he has a slight Irish lilt.Yet it's never there when it's Kelsey narrating the part which has me wondering if she cannot do an Irish accent. Good news is, that when James is doing it, the Irish lilt is right there and it's great!!Regardless it's still well worth the money to be able to listen as you're reading and getting to hear the voices in actuality, as opposed to just imagining what they probably sound like in your mind.So again get the two and thoroughly enjoy the experience. Now I'm off to read AND listen to book three. Sayonara friends ๐๐

I loved the MMC, a white night that's a touch grey. I wish his phobia was a bigger part of the plot but it still made him interesting. The book's pacing and length was perfect to prevent the book becoming repetitive. A nice balance of spice to plot that pulls you in.

READ THIS BOOK!
5/5I adored this book so much! It was so raw and packed full of emotion, it made my heart burst. The characters were everything, the plot was amazing, it made me laugh, cry, screamโฆ I just loved it.Liam shocked me, I didnโt except him to be as sweet as he was. He was so caring and attentive to those he loved, but especially to Kiara. The love they shared for each other was so tender and gentle but still so all-consuming. It melted my heart.I absolutely despised Finn, from the second he was introduced I got the biggest creep vibes and as the story went on I just hated him more & more.I think the story was written so well! This series is quickly becoming my new favourite.

Heartwarming, dark and twisted
Loved this from start to finish. Not exactly a slow burn but definitely worth the wait. The story telling was excellent and the epilogues were the exact update on Liam and Kiara that we needed. The romance in this book is subtle, the lust obvious but really enjoyed it

Fitting together
OWNED BY A SINNERThe Sinners #2Michelle HeardPOV:DualLiam & KiaraGripping, fast paced read.Kiara was a happy result of a one night stand. Her parents never married, they live seperate lives, they both love Kiara. They've kept something from her. It was to protect her. But when she gets a better paying job at Byrne Enterprises. Her parents aren't happy about it. Her father wants her to quit and work elsewhere. But she's stubborn, like her father, she wants this job as it'll pay for her fathers nurse, get her out of her current place and hopefully in a better one for her and her mother. She gains Finn Byrne, Director of the company, and Liam's stepbrother attention, he crosses the line with Kiara, she really doesn't like him, he blackmails her. She's terrified, but she goes along with what he says. When she's at her Father's place she overhears a conversation between her father and her boss, Liam Byrne. That's when she finds out that her father works for the Irish Mafia, and not only knows her boss, but her boss is the head of the Irish Mafia.Could she trust Liam with what Finn's been doing?Liam, cold, distant, doesn't like being touched, CEO of Byrne Enterprises, head of the Irish Mafia. Isn't particularly close with his father. His stepbrother, Finn is the thorn in this side. He has no time for him, he knows that Finn wants in the Family, he doesn't have what it takes. He thinks he's entitled to it because his mother married Liam's father. When Kiara literally runs into him, he's not disgusted by her touch, which is a surprise for him. Could he be developing feelings for her? Surely not! He's intrigued by her. He starts to notice that something is bothering Kiara.Liam comes across grumpy and cold, but Kiara has only seen how nice he is towards her. Could there be an attraction between them?Just by chance, Liam saves Kiara from an ordeal involving Finn. He sees red, and he's out for Finn. How could he have missed the signs concerning Kiara and Finn. It's not that he knows what Finn is like, he's had to pay off harrassment cases before. There's no loyalty/family bond or anything between them. He's got more loyalty and family bond between him and his men than there is between him and Finn.Meanwhile, the Sicilians are causing trouble.Loved how Kiara just fitted in like a missing jigsaw piece. The banter she has between the guards and the rest of the men. Liam is a sweetheart and dominant at the same time.
