Works great!
This stuff works great! We have tried other brands that we were happy with, but this stuff works just as well if not better, and costs way less! Very pleased.

Most cost effective of 9 products I tested
I tested 7 urine-absorbing, polyacrylate-based, polymer/gel products similar to this one, using a sodium chloride solution to simulate typical human urine salt concentrations (salts reduce absorption effectiveness). This "Wenge Degradable Gel" product absorbed the most liquid per gram, although pretty similar to other polyacrylate products with 1 to 33% difference. However at this price ($23.99 for the 2-lb bottle) the Wenge Degradable Gel was the most cost effective of all products. I then confirmed the results for Wenge, using the "real stuff" and the Wenge did even better by a slight amount. We are switching to this in our camper toilet.

works
this item appears to work as described. I'm Knocking off a star because it is not order free... there is a chemically smell associated with it...

Doesn't work as advertised.
I tested 4 urine-absorbing, polyacrylate-based, polymer/gel products similar to this. This 2lb. "Wenge Degradable Gel" product is advertised to absorb ½ gallon per capfull.Container also says "100 uses" (1lb. stated 50 uses), so we assumed that it would gel-ify 50 gallons (2 caps per gallon). We only had 12 gallons, so this should more than work, right? We put 2 cap fulls into each of the 12, ¾ full, 1 gallon containers, and nothing...Next day we added 2 more capfulls to each - some brief "clouding" formed in a few jugs.Third day day we added 2 more capsules to each - semi slushy, wet results.A few hours later, we added 2 more capfulls to each gallon container.Next day we had only a handful of crystals left, so we poured all of them into the 2 runniest jugs and again, a cloud of gel formed, then sank...So 12 semi runny "gallons" from a product advertised to gel-ify 50 gallons?$25 to gel <12 gallons?>$2 per gallon?!?Waaay overpriced by any standard!

Not bad
This powder did help thicken up liquids. I recently used a 5 gallon bucket as a camp toilet, and the powder helped the liquid inside the biodegradable bags not slosh as much. I can't really say that is seemd to do a lot to get rid of smell, but it could be that I didn't use enough product.
