I love these blade protectors. I'm in culinary school and the sheaths provided with the (very sharp) knives in my kit were a joke - flexible plastic that was shredded in a matter of weeks and a pain to get on and off. My knives were starting to slice the fabric of my kit, so I knew I had to do something. I bought one of these to test out and loved it so much that I ordered two more in different sizes. They work perfectly. My only complaint is that the rubber strips that hold the knife steady inside the case leave a faint rubber imprint on the blade - nothing to worry about, just bugged me a little bit to see a small smudge on my nice, clean knives every time I pulled them out. Still very happy with the protectors, though. Definitely check them out - can't beat the price.

This sheath/BladeSafe fits Victorinox's 6" boner perfectly and has a very strong grip preventing the knife from slipping out. It will be going into my hunting pack for my backcountry moose hunt next month.

The blade guard works as expected and fits the Victorinox Fibrox Pro Chef's Knife, 5-Inch Chef's very well. I am sure it would fit the the 6 inch model of the same knife just as well. It holds the knife securely and is quite easy to open. The only issue I have with this knife guard is that it is clearly a return item. The cardboard cutout was heavily ripped and twisted and it did not come in its original packaging. This does not affect the knife guards utility. I intend to keep the knife guard but I hate to pay full price for someone else's returned product. Just saying!

I use these to store my fillet knives, they fit the 6” curved and straight fillet/boning knives with ease and stay secure. Would recommend!

I purchased this for my Forschner 6 inch chefs knife, so as to store it in the drawer, as there is no more room in my cutlery block.It works great for this knife. It states inside which position the blade should be placed. There are a couple of rubber nubs inside, that when closed, keep the knife from shifting or slipping out by applying pressure against the blade. The case stays closed with two interlocking clasps, so it is quite secure. I do not fear losing a finger with this now protecting the knife blade, as well.It will not fit a larger knife than this 6 inch Forschner, as it is maxxed out for space. I have not tried a 4 or 5 inch blade in it, but can not see a reason why it should not work equally as well for those.Hope this helps. Enjoy, Robert

Exactly what I was looking for! I've looked for many years for something like these and here they are. I ordered 1 because I thought they would end up being garbage and to my surprise they exceeded my expectations. I just got done ordering this guard for every knife I have now. I am a caterer and my knives travel and now I can trust my knives will not get damaged. These guards lock on and will not slide off like the cheep crap the knife companies sell for their knives. These companies that sell their real nice expensive knives should market these guards with their knives. That will show some amazing quality to back their name and their knives.

Extremely sturdy and safe to keep an extremely sharp knife.
