Pages folded and not cut properly
I've waited over two months for delivery and in one section the pages are not cut properly.Very disappointed after reading such rave reviews. It's a shame the company has overlooked quality control.

every day
all right so I'm going to explain why Assimil is the greatest language learning product. so I took German for 6 years in high school and then I stopped in college because I had my foreign language credit so for a year I just spoke English and my German died and then that summer I had nothing to do so I bought this and started learning French. after I finished With Ease I moved onto the next level "En Pratique" ("Using...") and I finished around winter last year. so I wanted to do this study abroad in France to make use of my Assimil so I needed to get some French credit but I didn't have space in my schedule to take French classes so I had to take the placement test and I placed out of TWO AND A HALF YEARS of college French WITH EASE with this product ok. so I had that and then I was able to study abroad in Lyon France, and here I am a little over a year later at the end of my study abroad and it was all thanks to ASSIMIL FRENCH WITH EASE and ASSIMIL FRENCH EN PRATIQUE. so this product comes with like 4 audio cds an mp3 cd and a guide book. you can read the product description on the method but i'm going to tell you how I used it. you need to do your Assimil every day TOUS LES JOURS ok and TOUS LES JOURS you listen to an entire lesson several times. I found this way of using Assimil on some random language learning method website or whatever but here it is:1. listen to the recording without reading the lesson at all.2. read the lesson aloud in French3. listen to the recording again while reading the English text.4. read the lesson aloud in French5. listen to the recording again while reading the French text6. read the lesson aloud in French7. listen to the recording without looking at the text and repeat this until you understand everything that's being said and read the text aloud in french if you need to8. play the recording one last time and each sentence try and repeat what was said. if you don't remember it, play the sentence again. obviously do this without reading the textso you do this for every new lesson. also every day you want to read over the previous lessons you've done aloud in French. every seven days there's not a conversation but a grammar review so on those days go through all the stuff you've studied read it aloud, play it, whatever. the seventh days are when you consolidate your french. TOUS LES JOURS. also take that mp3 disc of lessons and somehow get it onto your phone or ipad or whatever music player and when you walk somewhere or are on the bus listen to the lessons you've done in like random order maybe dont listen to it while driving i dont want you to die. it also may help to make a Quizlet with vocabulary or something. it's probably a good idea to listen to French News slow or RFi radio as well to practice your listening.in conclusion I don't know about the other languages at all but the french one is a gem (assimil is a French company) and it requires you to have self-discipline to do it TOUS LES JOURS but if you put in the work papa assimil will provide for you 240% with employee benefits ok. seriously i was getting a haircut in France and the ladies commented on how good my French was and it was validation after a year of studying. just remember TOUS LES JOURS

Jeito fácil e prático de aprender francês
O método é prático e fácil de aprender outro idioma, nesse caso o francês. Ainda não comecei a estudar definitivo, só dei uma olhada, mas já gostei do que li e vi!

Great method once you get your head around how it works.
From what I've read on other sites Assimil seems to divide a lot of opinion, but for me this is one of the most effective courses I've ever used to learn French and the only one which took me towards any kind of fluency. The method basically involves listening to a short dialogue in French every day (usually 3-5 minutes long) and repeating the French without understanding it until you get a feel for what is being said. Following on from this you repeat the French whilst reading the French text in the booklet to get a handle on what the words actually are and finally, you repeat the French whilst looking at the English translation and come to understand what the words mean.At first this method seemed a bit obscure and lacking in structure (there are no grammar lessons as such, though there are very helpful notes in each lesson which explain key principles) but from the word go I realised I was learning a huge amount of French every day which I felt confident using. I very much enjoyed this way of learning grammar because you didn't have to bash your head against a wall trying to remember which activities use "jouer" and which use "faire", or which words are feminine and which are masculine (for instance) you just come to intuitively know what sounds appropriate. Overall I think the sheer volume of French you learn in this course has to make it one of the best courses available and one of the few that can take you close to fluency - unlike Pimsleur and Michel Thomas which are essentially just introductions to the language.
