Good quality, works great
I'm very happy with this tubing bender. I bought it to bend 1/2 inch o.d. steel tubing with .065 and .090 inch mild steel walls. They work great for that purpose. The quality is good, which is what I would expect from Rigid branded tools.

Stout bender for tubing SS tubing.
Got stuck with having to buy this for a one off project for our cars EGR pipe that is no longer made and there is none on the after market either. So $100.00 in materials and this and I was in business! It is stainless steel and the rollers make bending an ease. Accurate gauge on the side makes hitting an angle a breeze once you work out the spring back of the tubing. There was little flattening of the tubing I was using which was .500" with a .028" wall thickness and soft temper. Really impressed with the nice and easy bends produced. Like all really good tools, this one cost but it is very well built and I suspect that it will outlive the average tradesman if taken care of. The pain of the cost will fade away after the first time you use this. Also, I have a .375" and a .250" model as well so I am all in on these.

Works great
Pricey tool but it bends stainless brake lines perfectly. I was able to achieve professional results with these.

Awesome bender
I love these benders. I have them in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch sizes and use them for all kinds of tubing. Perfect for stainless. No distortion in the bends and the best design. Well known manufacturer that stands behind their products. Those rollers make all the difference. The offset in the handles makes life easier, and the two position movable handle is a life-saver to complete a 180° bend. Best you can buy for the dollars spent.

Incapable of producing a smooth bend
After trying to bend 1/2" soft copper tube (Type L) with two similar but rather less expensive benders and achieving only creases, wrinkles and crimps, I tried this 1/2" Ridgid, which is strongly built and heavier than the others as well as more versatile, but it, too, failed to produce a single smooth bend. Serious creasing along the sides and significant crimping on the inside of a bend. I think the stationary "form" guide doesn't give good side support nor do the "carriage" rollers--together they leave an almost 1/8" gap on either side for tubing to squeeze through and it does. It is as though Ridgid engineers set out to build a really good, professional bender but never actually tested it. I have since moved up to the Yellow Jacket crossbow and am getting much better results, though it is awkward to use and offers fewer options. Ridgid would be wise to redesign the form and rollers. It could be a wonderful tool.
