I was reluctant to buy a plastic adaptor ring, but it actually works quite well. I am using it to hold simple filters, and permanently attach a UV filter as basic lens protection.The JJC adaptor fits firmly and does not appear to be at risk of slipping off. I do not know that I would trust it with anything long or heavy. The way the camera's mount is designed, I would even be reluctant to mount a small hood on it, just because the leverage might be an issue. However, this is an issue with the mount system and not with this product, which is perfectly fine.Now that I have installed it, I can see that an ABS plastic adaptor is probably a better choice than a metal one, because it matches the materials of the lens assembly, and because it has a sort of "snap in place" bayonet mount system. Metal would not have enough flex to mount properly without damaging the camera.Recommended.(Why can't I write the headline before I've written some content? ANNOYING.)

It fits the camera well!(Canon SX530 HS)I put on one filter seemed to fit perfectly. I got a set of filters, so I wanted to try a different one and changed out the filter. It screwed on like the 1st one but when I went to take it off. It won't come off. I guess it most of cross threaded. But the 2nd filter screwed on just as smooth and easy as the 1st filter. Had to buy another one so I can use the filters I bought. Hoping I'll have better luck. Disappointed it cross threads that easy.

This adapter ring was perfect for my Canon SX50 PowerShot! Before I was having to hold my polarizer in front of the lens which was a little awkward to say the least. The ring went on fairly easy once I got it correctly lined up. It is plastic so it was a challenge to not cross-thread it with the metal threads of the filter. I find it easier to remove the adapter ring from the camera keeping the filter installed in it & storing it that way. It works for me this way because I use very few filters and these are cheap enough that I can get one for each filter I use. Also this gives me a backup adapter ring if I crack or break one. Win, win!

The lock is not perfect, there is still a small move and it's easy to unlock. But we should keep in mind it is plastic, so it it a good quality price ratio.

No issues attaching to camera or lens.

Almost impossible to thread a filter into it and when you do, you are likely to cross thread it. It went into the trash literally 10 minutes after I picked it up off the porch. One of my filters went with it because I'll never be able to separate the two.Zero stars from me. I had to put one on it because Amazon made me.

The product is well made, it can be tricky to install on the camera. It is plasticand a little tight going on, besides that, well made. I would recommend this product.
