Rubbermaid® 2122604 Mixermate™ Leak-Resistant Pitcher

I have had this same brand in much larger for 10 yrs. Use it for Ice tea. Still works great. This one I wanted for juice. Large wide mouth. Easy to clean. Can put hand in to wash. Screw on lid. Flip top to use. No leaks. A plastic of sorts dont know actual name. Sturdy quality. Highly Recommend

Those who complain about the lid being off center and/or prone to leaks probably have leaking outdoor spigots too.Do not crank it down passed the 180 degree point. That creates the problem. Unfortunately, once you've done this, you likely have damaged the rubber gasket and there's no coming back from that -- it either leaks or the spout is misaligned. I suggest that everyone wash the lid by hand and forgo using abrasive pads. One feature that I didn't realize immediately is that the spout cover can lock open in place if you press down hard enough on the thumb circle. Mine is really stiff and requires more pressure than I expected. It has full markers for 2 liters on one side 2 quarts on the other. I could wish these markings were easier to see and that there were markings for at the 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 points. All in all, though, a well-made product.

We used to mix protein shakes. Wide opening is perfect. Only wish the flip top opened wider to drink out of. But great for mixing with a couple of blender balls inside. Haven’t noticed any leaking as of yet.

Perfect size for lemonade in the fridge! Sturdy, good quality and doesn't leak at all. A good buy!!

Really happy with the size and shape. It’s easy to hold onto and shake. Big mouth lid makes pouring into the container.

Works great for an iced tea pitcher but the handle & interior lid tend to get dirty and/or collect moldy. Really like the diameter of the opening & plastic is very durable & dishwasher safe!

As always with Rubbermaid products, you can expect a sturdy, well-made product. I bought 2 of these and I give them 4 1/2 stars, despite a few minor problems.Though it says 'leak resistant', one does leak a bit. Also, I don't love the way the lids fit. They have a 'stop', but it's not flush with the front of the pitcher, which is odd.However, these have a nice, large handhold, which is one of the things I wanted. I was dropping my other containers which didn't have a handhold. This handhold is large and comfy, easy to hold onto.Be aware that the pitchers are very tall. They barely fit on my bottom shelf in the fridge. I have to slightly lift the shelf above in order to get them in because the lip of the shelf blocks them. So check the height of your shelf against the height of the pitcher before you buy.I also don't love the spout cover. It flips up fine, but it stays popped up at an angle, so when the pitcher if half full or less and you have to really tilt the pitcher, the spout cover can get in the way. Would be better with a spout cover that swings to the side or flips all the way back.Some reviewers commented on a smell of bad taste. The label clearly says 'wash before using'. I washed them. No smell or bad taste. They have a wide, open top which makes them easy to clean. Pour in hot, soapy water, put the lid on and shake vigorously.All in all, I highly recommend these. I live in Texas and drink a lot of water, so keeping these gallon pitchers in my fridge is really nice.
