Bright, dimmable, simple install, with neutral appearance.
I dont normally leave a review unless I'm impressed, so here it is.I bought 2 units to replace the fixtures while remodeling the kitchen. The construction is an appliance white painted steel body that is approximately 1" in height with led boards the length of it. The plastic lense is precariously sat on a lip of this steel body. The lense fitment is my only complaint. The light output is evenly spread and more to the 5000k color, it is dimmable as seen in the pictures. There is a fraction of a second for them to illuminate but hardly a complaint as the old fixtures cannot compare. I recommend a dimmer and to buy more of these fixtures for your garage, kitchen or craft area!

LOOKS GREAT BUT>>>>>>Plastic Diffuser is VERY THIN - Check yours carefully before installing
This light is HIGHLY rated in many places. And would be a 5-star review for me too based on finished look and light output. HOWEVER, the plastic diffuser is super thin. And mine had a spider crack in the corner NOT noticed upon unpacking until the last 20% of the manufacturer's tissue wrap was removed by my electrician just before he went to place it on the already mounted base. I've been trying to get a replacement diffuser sent to me by the seller since. But the seller suggests that I simply return the entire fixture after I sent photos showing the damaged corner and the minor damage in the shipping box. Of course I would have to hire the electrician to have it taken down to pack it up and send it back. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!! So INSPECT your unit closely when it arrives and allow extra time for the back and forth if it's damaged. Or just buy it at your local box store and skip the aggravation.

Very bright but dimmable LED light. Diffuser could be a bit more secure. A bit expensive.
Very bright LED light. I like it bright, my wife likes it dim, so we installed a dimmer. This light is one of the few of this style that is dimmable. It's a bit expensive for what you get, but it was the best one I could find that would use a regular dimmer. It does seem to work well with the dimmer. Like other reviewers, I found the diffuser mounting to be a bit iffy. It's sits on there, but you are never quite sure that it isn't going to fall down, and the "latches" don't seem to be really doing much. I originally bought one from HD that was much smaller, and put out plenty of light for our kitchen, but was not dimmable, and therefor unacceptable to my wife.

4.5 stars for a modern 4" task light.
Excellent replacement units for 4 foot CFL's that light up bright from the start, last a long time, use half the energy and produce little heat. I replaced two units in my garage and it took about 10 minutes working solo. Very easy to install, especially if you can remount in the same wall position, then three wires and you're done. I installed one first to make sure it worked and to see how bight it was compared to the CFL (two bulbs, 35 watts each). Could have, should have used a light meter but by my eye, the LED unit is a good 20% brighter than the CFL unit it replaced while using about half the wattage. I then replaced the 2nd unit, a snap. There is a tiny, half second delay I notice when I turn on the switch. But unlike CFL, LED's are 100% bright from the start so this isn't a big deal. I'd actually give the unit another 1/2 star IF the center plate that hides the wires were a bit better designed. The units I replaced had a similar cover that fit by snapping into recesses in the unit. This one requires two screws to hold that piece in. Otherwise, I don't expect to ever need to access this again unless it's to replace. Yes, if most of the LED's burn out, you replace the entire unit. But not a big deal, it should go thousands of hours.

light a little warm, really needs to be 90+ CRI
I use six of these to light a large garage that is used for two cars, a ping pong table and an HTC vive setup. So I really like the the very diffused and bright light that these fixtures emit. These would be the perfect lights, except... One, the lights say 4k but the temp is really warm closer to 3.5k. Two, the light is 80CRI which should be fine, but because they are so warm, well, whites just aren't white. I have a cool color scheme in my garage, mostly grays, but everything looks warm/yellow. Even the ping pong ball looks warm/yellow, which is unnatural. Three, while I think the design is an A, the build quality is a solid B-, which is okay but I wish the covers were able to be more securely attached. Here in SF I can see a mag 4 or 5 dropping these things easily.I probably should give these a four, but I gave it a three just because if you want that bright cool light garage space, then you need to consider if you can tolerate halfway between that and a living room light. Seriously, if you are at a work bench, I think you are going to want a higher temp light. If you are using this in your house or large closet, then go for it.

Recommendation: Choose a Different Product.
I have found several Design and Quality deficiencies in this Lithonia product. 1. Piece 6 called a "Locking Bracket" was aparently after thought for a previous design problem. It has no function with the Diffuser and will not lock it to anything. The only function it has is to help make the fixture parallel to the ceiling. 2. The installed fixture does not have any feature except for the Locking Brackets that flattens it to the ceiling. Consequently, it does not sit flat. 3. Several of the screws were loose and one was stripped from the factory. 4. The screws at the ends of the Wire Way Cover stripped because the holes were pierced and not dimpled first. 5. There is plenty of space inside the fixture. Instead the engineers made the Wire Way too shallow to include a wire clamp from the inside. 6. The wire way has tabs for holding it up. Two of the four were missing. 7. The Diffuser is supposed to sit there on sheet metal shoulders with nothing to center it. If it gets bumped or subjected to any vibration it is likely to fall down and hit somebody. The attachment, if you can call it that, is functionally inadequate. Design wise... my cocker spaniel could do a better job and she only has a half a watt.

Awesome Light!
It looks great, comes on instantly, and is very bright! My wife loves it in the kitchen because it makes the room so much brighter. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to replace an existing light fixture.

LED the future in lighting
Very easy to install. Unit is far brighter than I expected. A little pricey, but worth the cost for the improvement in light and energy consumption.
