December 21,2018. ( A five star product that now should be only a ONE star because of cost increase.)Note: sorry to say but this will likely be my LAST order for this wonderful product! The price has doubled and because of that I can no longer afford to use it. I had no problem with the $30 something price as that was a one third increase. But in LESS THAN A MONTH you double the price? Sorry someone is getting greedy! There is NO WAY that this product is worth almost $50 bucks a piece. I always order two and I will this time but now I have to go looking for a product again. Very sad because this product has served me well for almost two plus years. If I did not need to replace mine so frequently maybe I could justify the cost. I have always considered these part of my medical supply and treatment and ordered two almost every month. I am VERY disappointed in the company because I am VERY sure it costs no more than $10 dollars each to produce. Very very sad when companies decide to do massive price hikes just because ordering online is th easiest for some people. Upset, disappointed, frustrated and let down is what I am. I will say it again....how can a product 3 months ago be $27.99 each jump to $36.99 and in ONE MONTH jump AGAIN to $42.99? Seems to me the company has a get rich scheme going here, and I can no longer afford to be a part of it. I am VERY angry about this and the only reason I’m not changing my star rating is this product is so good.*******************I have Intractable Pain secondary to Malignant Fibromyalgia with Severe Daily Migraines that require constant heat to be applied to various locations on my body, including my neck and head. Due to my frequent use throughout each day I go through two of these heat packs every 30-45 days. BE ADVISED I USE THIS PRODUCT OUTSIDE THE RECOMMENDED INSTRUCTIONS THAT IS WHY I AM A FREQUENT ORDERER. I give this product a FIVE star but I do have two issues. 1. The black covering is great accept for the fact that it turns some of my clothing items grey and my fingers and fingernails turn grey/black. (I take this as being my frequent use during day as to why is happens.). 2. I have received at least 4 of these that the internal bag of beads breaks in 24-48 hours after initial use requiring my mom to sew the inner bag cover closed to contain the beads. Also, with the excessive use I require, I find that the beads become powder like and produce a dust that causes me to have to toss the items after 30-60 days. This being said, I believe this product to be the highest quality product as the soft outer cover makes it comfortable and retains the heat longer. One idea I have is maybe changing the color of the outer material and DOUBLE stitching the inner bag with the beads. Overall, highly recommend this product.UPDATE: I continue to use this product and stand by my five star rating. After reading some of the reviews of people who say it doesn’t keep its heat. At times this is true but NO HEAT OR COLD PACK unless pludgged in to electricity remains at a temperature for extended periods. I believe this has to do with the natural safety to prevent burning or frostbite.Due to frequent off-label use the moist feature sometimes gets dried out. To remositen it I do one of two things. 1. I put them outside for 24 hours or so. I live in Washington State and wet weather is the norm so this works. 2. Secondly, I often put them in the freezer for 24hours to achieve the same result. I have an do use them cold occasionally and they are equally a s good.Nothing in this day and age is perfect, however this product is as close to perfect as you can get. I also have noted that the manufacturer has improved the quality of them in their construction and longevity. Since my use is off-label as I use them infinitely longer than the instructions, they are by far the best ones I have used.Give them a try, you will be surprised and yes they are a bit heavy, but that is why they stay in position when moving around.Walking, laying in bed, not problem, the heat pack stays in place.

This heating pad is delicious! Feels great on my neck and shoulders. Remains warm for a good 20 minutes. The only negative is that it is slightly heavy. I love the fact that it is non-scented as some of those herbal pads can be just too strong. I would recommend this pad to anyone with neck or upper back pain or aches. It is very soothing before bed to reduce stress and relax you!I've now had it for 2 months and I love it! It stays hot the longest compared to other heat pads. Once I got used to the weighted feeling it is really great now. If you have neck or back pain do yourself a favor and order this. You will not find a better heat pad out there. I have tried over 20 different pads and this is the best by far. Also, I like that it doesn't have any unpleasant aromatherapy scents like my other pads.

I bought this particular one because my cousin, a Physical Therapist, said it’s what they sell in their office and he likes it. I use it for migraines when I’m too tense and need to relax my neck and shoulder muscles.It was easy to heat up, seems like it would fit anyone, it’s soft and there was no smell.I’m only giving 4 stars because I wish it would stay hot a little longer. But, I used to use an electric heating pad, so maybe I have misguided expectations.

I have rheumatoid arthritis so my joints are constantly aching. On bad days, this really helps relieve the pain. I’ve only used it as a heating pad but these are what I like about it:1. It’s heavy. I don’t know why exactly, but the pressure helps to alleviate the pain. Even when used just to get warm it’s comforting.2. Moist heat - I just prefer moist heat to dry heat so this works for me3. Heat retention- it stayed warm for an entire tv show - so about an hour or so.4. Removable cover - i like being able to wash the outside so it stays clean5. Shape - fits perfectly around my neck/shoulders. It also works well to position and wrap around joints - I like to use it on my knees as well.The only thing I don’t like about it is the fleece cover - I wish they made a cotton one but it’s just a matter of preference.

I use microwave heating pads often so when I saw this I knew it was for me. I get a lot of tension in my neck and shoulder area. I heat this up and it feels wonderful and helps to relax those tense muscles. It is rather heavy as other reviewers have stated but that doesn't bother me. I also like that it does not have a scent.

I absolutely love this product. The first one I had lasted years! I used it everyday until the beads started coming out. Then I recently bought another one thinking it would last many years to find out it only lasted a month or two until the beads came out. I was so sad and wanted to contact the company but couldn’t find their information. I can’t find another heating pad like this one so I purchased for a third time. I hope this one will last because it really does give out a lot of heat and it stays awhile.

This was perfect for my needs because it provides moist heat exceptionally well! Also, the microwave charge lasts long enough for your muscles to benefit. I have an electric heating pad but I did not feel comfortable falling asleep connected to electricity and it was dry heat, and it did.not.mold to.my affected area. The drawback is if you.take it to bed with you, it will cool off faster than an electric pad. That was not an issue for me. I used it up to bedtime and rested easier by bedtime.Be careful not to over heat as it gets real hot if you heat it over the recommended time. It also depends on strength of you microwave. But all said. Very happy. I had neck and shoulder issues but my husband had back issues and it worked for him. Great quality as well. Worth the money.
