Watch your back with Cyclecam! This rear mounted camera connects by Wi-Fi to your Smartphone to allow you to see and record vehicles behind you when riding in traffic. With the free App "CYCLECAM" for IOS and Android, the camera can stream live video which can be recorded directly to the smartphone. With instant replay of video on your smartphone, unlike cameras that use SD cards for recording, Cyclecam is very useful for traffic incidents, or just playing back that moment over coffee when you passed your group going up (or down) that very challenging climb! Quick and easy setup, simply mount the camera on the bike, download the free "CYCLECAM" app from Apple Store or Google Play Store for Android phones. If you are a cyclist, you know every time you saddle up anything can happen. The number one threat to you is not on the road ahead but on the road behind you. Most cycling fatalities occur when riders are struck from behind. But with the CYCLECAM Wi-Fi Rearview Bicycle Camera, you know what is behind you at all times.

Like it, don't love it
Speaking as a long distance rider who has done 100-mile rides...I like this device because it does exactly what it says it does. It allows me to use a phone as a rearview mirror while I ride, that also allows me to record video of the ride. I like being able to track my group in group rides without having to turn ALL THE WAY AROUND on the bike. I also feel safer being able to record the terrible drivers out there on the road, in the event of a collision.WHAT I DON'T LIKEThis device uses WI-FI, which is annoying because it overrides my 4G LTE signal, but doesn't give me internet (on a Galaxy S7 Edge). The phone expects the wi-fi signal to give me internet, but it obviously is only used for video transmission. I then cannot use internet for GPS or music streaming purposes. It's an unfortunate limitation, but I'm going to work-around this by attaching a second phone to my bike as a screen just for this camera. Seems like overkill, but it is what it is.Otherwise, the video sometimes stutters, and there is a half-second lag. Not too bad other wise. Video quality is clear enough. Can't ask for more, considering the price, and the fact that it is designed for safety, not video quality. One more thing, In future iterations, it would be nice if this camera included an optional rear-light. There is limited real-estate on my bike and it can be hard to clip this camera as well as a light and bag to the bike.

It is great! the wifi works very well
It is great! the wifi works very well, the picture is very clear and visible with full sun. Much better than a mirror. But the image is not reversed as in a mirror. This takes a bit of getting used to. I guess the manufacture did not expect folks to use it as a rear view mirror. You can reverse the image to upside down. Comes in handy if you are one to ride upside down. It also seems the update is a bit cpu intensive. Image stops update when riding faster than 25 mph or at lower speeds if one is also listening to music with the phone.Still, with all these limitations this is the best system i have seen in the market.

Password to connect is invalid and App does not load
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Won't connect to wifi on phone because it prompts for password. Which in the booklet tells you its "12345678". But that password is "invalid" and wont let you connect. I even hit the reset button on the camera and tried again to no luck. So basically the camera is useless without a working password to get it to connect. Also on my Galaxy s10 the App will not open...like at all. It's on the Google market place but good luck getting it to work. The reviews are horrible on it also. When I scanned the QR code on the booklet to take me to the app store for it, it wouldn't even take me and said the QR code link has been deleted by its creator.

The camera seems ok so far but I haven't been ...
The camera seems ok so far but I haven't been able to mount it. First off it came with a micro USB cable that was too fat to insert into the recessed micro USB port so I had to dig up one of my old ones which did fit. I then went to mount the camera to my bicycle seat post and found that the clamp it came with wasn't for a seat post but more of a handlebar size C-clamp post. Not what was pictured. It was too small to clamp around a bicycle seat post so basically making the whole setup worthless for now. I went ahead and ordered another "SEATPOST CLAMP" from Amazon so I will try that one out. Hopefully this works out and will save me from some neck strain and keep my eyes on the road ahead instead of behind.
