Full Review; Solid/Sturdy/Well Crafted Lamp; I love it; a few defects; would buy again
This lamp is totally awesome looking. I was very hesitant to shell out nearly $200 for a lamp that I knew nothing about. There were only 3 reviews available (and not very complete) at the time and the product description/information posted was minimal, conflicting, and vague. Additionally, there wasn't any more-informative information or even video reviews available on Youtube (there is almost always a good video review for whatever you're looking for).Anyway, here's the review:1. Shipping was VERY fast.I placed the order Mar. 3, Amazon indicated that I would receive the lamp between Mar. 9 and Mar 13. I received it 2 days early on Mar. 7. The box it came in was very large about 1.5' x 3' x 2' (just eyeballing it). The components in the box were packed very securely in styrofoam molded specifically for this lamp. Components were protected by plastic bags/sheaths and the wire was protected by cardboard sheaths in strategic areas. The lamp arrived completely undamaged (by the shipping process).2. It assembled very easily. However, joining/aligning the "pipes" was a bit difficult since the tolerances on the threadings (male to female) were so precise. Although it was just a bit frustrating screwing/unscrewing/rescrewing (trying not to cross-thread) the pipes, it was worth it.This lamp is solid, and I do mean solid! The base and components (not electrical obviously) were made of thick, solid Nickel-Steel.The Glass Shade is also very solid and robust, it's very beautiful and thick too. This is a heavy, very well made/designed lamp. It would be difficult to knock it over if you were to bump into it. The base is very heavy and supports the lamp extremely well.3. There are a few "cons" which would warrant a 4-4.5 star review, however, overall I believe that this lamp just barely deserve 5 stars.a. See Picture: Just below the Glass Shade, there are 3, 2" long (vertical) tension/compression marks 2" below the Shade separated by about 120 degrees. These "outdents" are most likely the result of the manufacturing process. My guess (I'm an engineer), is that most likely and at the very least, all of the lamps produced in the same batch have these marks. This production error may have been corrected, perhaps it's not a production error at all and this is a unique defect, or perhaps I simply received a lamp that was over looked during the quality assurance check. Still, these outdents are extremely subtle. No one looking at the lamp, even very closely (without actually looking for a discrepancy) would be able to see these. Therefore, I don't consider this to be that big of a deal.b. See Picture: The Upper Column has a gap between the pipe (lower) and the flair-pipe (upper) components. This gap is uneven since there is a slight bend at the junction of the two pipes. I can assure you that it is not an optical illusion created by the angle of the camera in the picture. The bend is hardly noticeable even when close. However, since I am perfectionist, this really bothers me. I'm assuming/guessing that this bent component is not indicative of a systematic problem (not on all lamps) for all lamps produced, it simply wouldn't sell well in stores if it were. I put a little pressure on it to try and straighten it out, but I didn't want to force it; the lamp apparently remains straight to the undiscerning eye, however the bend remains. I don't really want to ship it back because it is too much of a hassle, to disassemble it, carefully pack it, drive 10 miles to the nearest UPS Store while handling a very unwieldy package, and then wait for the exchange process to conclude. I completely love this lamp, exchanging it for a couple minor/undetectable defects really isn't that important to me.c. See picture: the white plastic grommet that ensures a snug fit for the cord is cheaply made and does not complement the elegant design of the lamp. It does not stay in place where it should, it kinda just hangs out of the cord hole. If it were up to me, the white grommet would be replaced with a simple black, rubber grommet or at least a plastic grommet painted to match the lamp. I think that making the grommet flush with the steel would also help to refine the lamp. This isn't a great concern of mine since I have the plug coming out of the rear of the base.4. Function/useI'm currently using the lamp with a 7.5W RGB Lucero Smart Bulb. This bulb lights along with the lamp's "Tourchiere" design, allows even a low power bulb to light up a large room really well. What I really like about this lamp is how tall it is, I'm 6'3" and I can't see into the Glass Shade. The cord is about 6' long and has a rather thick built-in dimmer (on/off as well). It works well but I wish that it were just a bit flatter. It's the size of an old computer mouse, See picture. The dimmer works very well and even has a small red light on it when the lamp is off so you can see where to put your foot in a dark room. The cord is clear and therefore, rather discrete against any color floor/carpet, I put my lamp in the corner and hid the cord under the trim.In summation, this lamp is probably worth $200 even with the defects. In my opinion, when compared with lamps at Lowe's, Walmart, or Ikea, and considering build quality, material, and aesthetics, this lamp is easily superior to even the most expensive lamps that they have to offer. Just to reiterate some of my previous opinions:I love how solid and heavy it is; there's no cheap, thin, or flimsy components on this lamp. It looks like a million bucks! This lamp is seriously impressive looking, it could easily be the offset focal point of a well-appointed living room. Shipping, delivery, and packaging were superb. There are some negligible defects that others most likely won't notice, however, it bothers me a bit to know they are there. At $200, this lamp was a steal! I don't think that I would have paid more before I saw it, but if I had to buy it again, even despite the defects, I'd probably pay full price. If you have any questions, or if you have had similar issues with build quality, please leave a comment.I wasn't paid, asked, or given free products/services (unfortunately), to review this lamp.

Sleek, Modern, and Perfect for Any Space!
This tall floor lamp is exactly what I was looking for! The stainless steel base gives it a sturdy, high-quality feel, while the glass elements add a touch of elegance. It has a clean, modern design that fits seamlessly into my space, providing the perfect amount of light without being overpowering. Assembly was simple, and it feels very stable once set up. Whether for ambient lighting or as a statement piece, this lamp is a fantastic addition to any room!

Beautiful floor lamp.
Very sleek floor lamp. Putting together the lamp was very simple, and all pieces align correct. This has some weight, more than I expected. Very sturdy and the floor lamp is level on my floor. The brightness of this lamp is what I needed. The quality is worth the money. I recommend, if you are looking into this style of floor lamp.

Buyer beware - For lamps at this price point the craftsmanship and quality shown is absolutely appalling.
Let me start by saying I have made dozens of purchases from Amazon and this is the first time I felt compelled to actually submit a review. My experience with this product was one of the worst I have ever had.The stars I gave are for Amazon (1) and Lamps Plus (1), not for Possini (who clearly have nothing resembling a QA department). The delivery itself was prompt, and the lamps were well packaged (a little too well), but the lamps did not work. Lamps Plus promptly responded to my return request, but wanted them shipped back in the original packaging. The problem with this is that the original packaging did not survive being unpacked. I took great care in regards to the lamps themselves when unpacking, but the way they are packaged makes it difficult to get them out without affecting the packing material and box. This is not the fault of Amazon or Lamps Plus, but left me discouraged about returning them, and ultimately I decided not to pursue the return. On to the lamps themselves. Unpacked.....check. Assembled....check. Brand new bulbs....check. Operational outlets....check.First lamp.....hmm why is it flickering so badly.Second lamp.....hmm this one doesn't even turn on.THIS WILL BE LONG BUT MIGHT MAKE FOR A GOOD READ.As I stated above neither lamp actually worked when I got them! One of them didn't turn on at all. The other flickered constantly. This was not an issue with my outlets, the other lamps I had plugged in worked just fine. The Possini lamps behaved the same way no matter where I plugged them in. I'll explain the causes found for both in detail below. After taking these lamps apart I find several quality issues.First lamp (flickering): From the bulb socket there is a black (current) and white (pass through) wire, pretty standard yes, but the cord coming out of the base with the plug is clear. So we most certainly have a splice. (For a lamp at this price point the fact that there was a splice at all, and not a continuous wire from plug to socket just screams cutting corners in my opinion.) Anyway, let's take a look....found the splice....it looks atrocious....good grief the black just FELL out of the "jacket"....is this even a jacket. Hmm what about white....oh a very light pull with thumb and finger and white is now disconnected as well. Who put these together....unbelievable! After putting a new proper splice in place with an actual dual female wire connector jacket.....VOILA no more flickering.Second lamp (not working): This one is even more fun. Checking the cord for damage I find a small section that looks like someone set something very heavy on it. Visually it looks like the wires inside the cord are still intact....but looks can be deceiving....I test it with a multi-meter....sure enough no reading. I clip the cord and find the wires are not intact and indeed were actually severed in the spot that showed damage. I repair this section hoping all is well.....test once more.....still no reading on the meter. At this point going off what I found on the other lamp my intention was to check the splice on this one as well. The lamp assembles in 4 sections. The splice is contained in a section of the lamp just below the section that houses the shade. The bottom of this section is closed with only a cut out for the wire to pass through. Meaning you can't get at the splice from the bottom.....no problem (so I thought) just like I did on the first lamp I'll remove the section that houses the shade and go in from the top.....I'll really put some back into removing the section that houses the shade.....I'll get a friend to twist one section while I hold the other and remove the section that houses the shade.....I'll get a strap wrench and twist one section while a fried holds the other and remove...........OK I guess I won't remove the section that houses the shade. I can't get to the splice because I can't actually get the lamp apart in a section that is SUPPOSED to come apart! I'm forced to cut out the factory splice altogether by clipping the clear cord at the bottom, the white and black cord at the top, feed the cord all the way through by securing it to a section of wire hangar, and re-splicing the cords together on the other side of this section. Amazingly once this was done I had an immediate reading on the meter.PROS: They are made out of good sturdy material, and look great....that's where the positives end.CONS: Aside from the above, the lamps I received don't have an actual switch on the stem of the lamp at all (the one in the picture appears to have a switch so perhaps they updated the model).....FAIL.What they came with was a control box that sits in line between the base and the plug, and essentially sits on the floor. The control box has a slide switch which requires you to either bend down to the floor or operate the slide with your foot. I have a lamp with a floor switch, but all that requires is to be pressed down, not slid in order to operate it. Maybe if this served as a dimmer I could see it, but it does not.....FAIL.The fact that this company allowed these lamps to leave the factory without being tested to ensure they ACTUALLY WORK before being packaged and shipped is beyond ridiculous......FAIL.The tolerances on the machined threads used to connect the sections are so loose it's actually EASIER to cross thread them than thread them correctly......FAIL.

Lovely lamp, easy to assemble
We need something tall in a dark corner of our stairway and it needed to go with vintage black and gold sconces that are on the wall. The lamp is perfect for the space and goes well with the existing sconces. As another reviewer mentioned - the “gold” is more of an orange/gold; so if you are looking for more of a champagne gold or true gold finish; this is not your lamp. Also, the white glass shade seems too stark white for the lamp, so we may try to soften or antique it a bit with paint. It was easy to assemble (5 minutes) and its very solid and heavy - not flimsy at all.

Beautiful, sleek and modern lamp
The lamp is beautiful and seems to be of good quality so far. Very sleek, modern and minimalist. I like it so much I bought four! Two for living room and two for a bedroom.
