I normally use a Digital SLR camera with several nice lenses, with that standard I evaluated the quality of images from a point and shoot Bridge camera. First image of a Mallard duck was near full zoom and the subject was about 50 yards away on a bright sunny day. Next shot of Swans in a field were farther away and at full zoom, with comparison to full wide angle shot of same area so you can realize the range available of this camera. Finally a shot of an eagle in a tree, near full zoom. I believe the clarity is quite acceptable and focus time on all these shots was quick with shutter activation without delay.Camera comes with all that is needed to unbox and go shoot. I do recommend that the battery be fully charged prior to going out and it comes with a partial charge. The creative mode selection along with total manual, shutter priority, aperture priority, Priority modes. Ability to take control of ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and even manual focus for those scenes that auto focus struggle with locking in, makes this one a step above the rest.I purchased this camera for my wife who is not into photography as deep as I, with the thought that she can do more as she is quite versed in how to compose and obtain the images that she would like to have for herself.I highly recommend this camera for young photographers on a budget and looking for better result. Also travelers looking for quality images from a easy to carry and store package. Wild life photographers may find this model more workable than some of the others, but it still lacks quickness while tracking moving objects especially when I was trying to get focus lock on a distant eagle against a cloudless blue sky.

Had a very expensive camera that I dropped and broke. Decided not to spend so much money and got this camera and I couldn't be happier. Very easy to use and my 2 favorite features are how much zoom it has. My last camera I had to change lenses all the time. I also love what they call the vari-angle LCD. Great when you want to take a macro shot of a flower down low. I've only had the camera for about 2 weeks and will certainly write another review if the love affair ends.

We have had several Sony digital point & shoot cameras, our last one a 20 mp 50x Zeiss lens. We were very disappointed when we learned they weren't making them anymore. I immediately fell in love with the features of the Minolta 67Z with it's articulating screen and bigger zoom. We really researched and it was the closest feature wise to the Sony we have loved. And the price was similar to what we had paid in the past. After 6 months of waiting and our Sony gradually losing functionality, it was time to order this camera. While a lot of it is the same, we have been a bit disappointed with the image stabilzation not being the same quality as the Sony. I have a hard time getting it to focus with the zoom extended. It took 4 shots of the last picture millipeed to get one that was usable. I love love love the sunset setting! The bad color on sunsets was one of the first features to fail on our Sony. I have read reviews saying the shutter speed is slow, which it is slower than my Sony, but I wonder if I don't have a setting correct. I only read the Quick Start guide and a few other pages in the manuel before we left on an 8 day trip. All of these prictures were taken on that trip. just days after this camera arrived. Another let down is the Minolta camera strap. Day 7 of our trip, I got out of the car and the camera fell to the concrete sidewalk because the strap came undone. That never happened in all the years I had the Sony cameras. I am now looking for a more secure strap. We got a super deal on this so it has officially moved to the primary spot in our travel bag. I will be purchesing the Karstan 2 battery AC wall charger package because we take a lot of pictures and need more than one. I wish the 2 battery charger was not USB. I don't usually have a way to charge something with a USB only port.

I have an expensive Nikon but I wanted something that was lighter weighted and wouldn't have to change lenses to zoom. This is great. I love it. The zoom is good, the images are better than I expected and I like the features on it.

SO-Many Buttons To Try And Learn "Which Does 'What!'" Right Now, I'm STILL Using My Smaller Camera That Is MUCH Lighter. And The "Stand?" Are You Kidding Me?! *Maybe 12 Inches Tall. I Give This Camera *NO STARS! Unless One Wants A Neck And Shoulders Aching, I Would Not Recommend This To Anyone. Especially If One Is Short In Height. *Go For SMALLER! Especially In *Weight of A Camera. I STILL Get Pictures Of The Moon With My *Canon 40X OPTICAL ZOOM, SX740 HS***It Is Forcing Me To "Choose A Rating" By *Pressing A Star. I HAD Chosen My Rating To "NO STARS."

point and click / click. I like it. The 67X magnification is probably more than I need, and definitely more than I can use w/o a tripod, but who knows - maybe down the road. Has many manual options that are probably best left to the professional. Can't wait to use it on my Alaska trip!

The camera is of professional caliber yet so easy to use for any novice. There are lots of features that honestly will take some time to learn how to properly use. Lightweight, well built/made, fun to use. I highly recommend purchasing this camera.

I got this days ago, and also bought the suggested charger and extra batteries, since you can’t pop in a new set of AA’s. Battery charged when charger came in. Went to use it tonight and met with the attached photo of screen; sorry, I cannot read that junk! Tried both options and neither top nor bottom option did anything. Seems like someone else set this up before me???? This was also supposed to have a tiny little tripod, and although it looks tiny plus I bought a large one, it very well may have come in handy at some time in the future. It will certainly go back if I cannot reset it and get it set to English and need to see about the small tripod. Finally, the camera “case” is a joke! Thankfully I still have my old case and the camera will fit in it, thus it would have protection.
