We recently discovered that lots of the paper straws you get in cafe’s and bars contain gluten in the glue used in the manufacturing process, bought this for my wife who has a gluten intolerance, always got a “safe” straw now, great size, easy to clean and a hygienic case to keep it in.

I really like this product but I have 2 minor issues with it, first the silicon case it comes in has a very easy to lose end cap this could easily be improved with a slight re-design and second the sliding of the sections becomes looser over time. overall a nice product though

The perfect companion to the Outlery full cutlery set and fits inside the tin alongside the rest of the kit.I don't understand the complaints that there is nowhere to store the brush, I thought it was obvious to store it inside the straw inside the silicon tube.

Does what it says on the can. It’s a reusable straw, it works, it’s not difficult to clean. Not sure what else you can say about it.

It's a collapsible metal straw, normally no biggie, but it means I don't need to use a rubber band to keep my silicone lined one in place.Also, for those wondering where to put the cleaning brush- sliding the handle into the silicone grippy thing is perfect.I saw some struggles on what to do with dirty straws. My reccomendation is to keep a mini plastic baggie (the long snack ones) in a mint tin with candy or whatever(if you don't have one of the outlery tins). The outlery tins are lined with silicone so I feel fine putting them in the big compartment. I just pull the silicone but out and wash it.Also, I know no one cares, but I was a Patreon backer. The purply wine color doesn't exist on their website anymore and I feel really fancy 😎I do wish the straw could match, but with how much sliding it'd have to do, It'd scratch and look rough pretty quickly, tbh.

I purchased the Outlery set when it was on crowd funding and have been thrilled with it ever since I got it. I have had several collapsible straws over the years and they all have to be carried separate from the Outlery set, but not this one. I am VERY glad I found this little guy. My only critique is the brush does not fit in the case with the straw. It would have been nice if the diameter was just slightly larger on the straw or smaller on the brush to allow this. That said it probably would have made it so the straw didn't fit in the case, so not huge thing, it fits int he case with my other Outlery pieces so not harm there int he end.

The straw itself is very good. It is designed in such a way that it doesn’t come apart by accident and it stays extended without a problem. The brush is the same way, in that it doesn’t collapse without you meaning to collapse it.However, the case has two significant issues. First, the cap is not attached, so if you drop it and don’t see where it goes, it’s probably list for good. Second, there is nowhere to put the brush. Unless you have some sort of other tube or case to carry it in, you’ll have to settle for simply rinsing the straw under water until you get back to wherever you keep the brush to give the straw a good cleaning.As a final note, as of the time of this review (May 15 2022) there seems to only be one color available for the straw case: Turquoise blue. Some other color options would be nice.

I love it but have to buy a new one. It's so tiny I lost it.
