I bought this for my father-in-law, who is 88 years old. We are staying in a VRBO while in escrow for a house, so installing something more permanent is not an option right now. I found some tips for getting suction cups to adhere, but the instructions for this product were just as helpful. The only additional tip that might help is heating the surface with a blow dryer before putting the suction cups in place if it's cold. The cushion is comfortable and stays in place. This is a good solution for us.

Poorly made, the suction cups are worthless, it feels like your teetering to keep balance on this thing and it folds in on itself, and if you can get set on it, it squashes down and slides out from under you. Even tried zip tying the damn thing to the toilet seat and it still slid all around. Being 5’10 and 185 lbs I’m not a large person. After having to go through 2 hip replacements this year the last thing I needed was dealing with a torture device.

My 88 yr.old mother whom has a bad hip is week in the legs and no balance did not like this cushion. Along with the 4"toilet seat rise w/handles this cushion makes her sit forward and almost on the edge of the front cushion making her very uncomfortable that she will fall off. This set up was for her to be able to sit down and stand up with ease and less discomfort for her.so if your thinking of purchasing this set up as i did for a person with a similar ailment. It wont work

No problems with it sticking to seat as so many reported. In my experience, these suction cuos need a little moustuer to help them stick. Cover does stain fairly easily even when wiped down regularly. Stuffing could be a little firmer. It compresses so much, i loose effect of cushioning and i only weigh 165lbs.

My dad is very boney, has a broken hip, and chronic pain in his legs. With all the weight he lost, he was suffering a lot whenever he would try to use the bathroom due to the hardness of the seat, but this solved that problem perfectly.The cushion is soft enough that it cushions his pressure points but firm enough that it doesn’t totally collapse once he sits on it. We’ve used it on both a Port-A-John and a normal round toilet seat and it has performed fine!The one draw back is that the height does allow a decent amount of splash back and it doesn’t allow the toilet seat to close over top of it, but not a big enough issue to warrant a loss in rating. Overall, a worthwhile buy.

Looks good, size is good, color is good, height would have been good but the type of filler is not dense enough to hold it’s height and therefore flattens when sat upon, rendering it useless for patients needing height after hip surgery.

this seat was way too soft. When I sat on it, it squished all the way down to the toilet seat itself. In the process of doing so, it tilted to one side and I almost fell off. My disabled husband had the same problem, and the seat was so low he needed help getting up. This is not a safe product and I do not recommend it. We bought it for use on a low toilet; it was completely useless.

I have terrible pain with NO drugs prescribed due to my age. Sitting down has been agony. This seat has made normal functioning pain free! The suction cups failed the first day because our seat is shaped to angle inward. We ordered extra strong, from Amazon, double stick tape. Very EASY fix! When cleaning every week, we simply replace the tape when needed. Yes the problem of sharing with a man exists, but it is an easy wipe clean job.
