Just received it so I can't speak for durability and protection yet, but the case looks great and fits the S8 like a glove. The areas around the corners are thicker and the corners, top, and bottom have molded air pockets for dispersing shock. The area around the camera/fingerprint sensor has a cool carbon fiber look with the backing having an laser-etched look, which I preferred over the diagonal grooves of the Vault II design. Overall, the case feels good in the hand. There aren't any grippy bumps or grooves so the case is a little smoother than other cases, but it still has a rubbery feel overall for grip. Enough for me, but others who want monster grip will have to look elsewhere. I love how slim the case is! Lastly, the buttons are covered and the tactile feel of the buttons is actually better than the phone naked. No issues at all with pressing the buttons, which was what I was initially concerned about. Very impressed on first look! Will update if there are any durability or protection issues.6 MONTH UPDATE: I still have this case on my S8. It has protected the phone from a few shallow drops though luckily I haven't had any major tests (knock on wood). Both the phone and case are still in great shape. The case has a few scuff and wear marks but still in very good condition. Another point of praise is how resistant to dust and dirt this case is! Many cases collect dust and dirt over time but this one has managed to stay clean inside and out. Quite amazing. Nothing but good things to say about this case and Caseology. Also forgot to mention, the case works fine with a wireless charger.

I had Caseology case on my previous phones, and they have all done their job flawlessly. Purchased this case as soon as I replaced my phone - this version appeared to be best fitting for my needs.Ownership: >1 yearSingle piece design. Super thin, small profile so it doesn't feel bulky and heavy. It has smooth finish so it looks great. It is flexible enough to put my phone in and out with little effort. Solid outer material resistant to any scratches. Still have no scratches on mine.I have dropped the phone from various heights (accidentally of course) and it serves its purpose as it should. The case holds the phone within itself perfectly and it never separated on impact. The corners are still clean and free of scuffing despite all the drops. -- I also use this in conjunction with a tempered glass protector with UV adhesive. Case AND tempered glass protector is a must with modern phones. Protect your investments!I wish it had some sort of ridges on the sides instead of plane smooth finish so it gives NO chance sliding off your hands. Maybe they can consider this for their future designs.

I bought this case in January 2019, along with a screen protector for my new Samsung phone. I never installed the screen protector— only this case. I’ve dropped the phone multiple times (including on my tile floor) and nothing bad has EVER happened. The case shows no wear and I like the way it feels in my hand — it is not slippery, which is a plus. Two thumbs up and five stars overall. I would try this brand again if I need another case for my next phone.

The Galaxy S8 is sleek, slim and polished. And therefor harder to hold on to than a greased pig. I've had cell phones for 19 years and never dropped one or even cracked a screen but after 3 days I realized I needed a case. This one seems pretty good, providing some added grip. The corner protection looks good and the fit is perfect. Tomorrow my Pandray tempered glass screen protector arrives and we will see if they play nicely together as both promise. I might suggest that since grip is so important with a $700 item such as this, why not add some raised/indented ribbing on the long thin sides, making it easy to grip as well as easy to distinguish if you are grabbing the case or pressing one of the little side buttons as you pull it out of your pocket or purse. Just a thought.

I love this case! I've had a Speck case in the past. They have a lot of bulk I thought was needed for protection of the phone. Sleek and Designer are not terms I would ever have used with that case. These words fit the very minute I took my caseology out of the box. It fit's my S8 perfectly and provides just the right amount of " bulk " at the corners, where it's needed. But it doesn't look bulky, it looks fashioned. Top and bottom across the width of the phone the case is raised so that face down the glass is not in contact with any surface. It has just enough grip so that it feels secure in my hand without making me think I'm holding a mountain bike tire. ( Speck ) Very happy with this case. Would highly recommend to others.

Fits great and gives me just enough grip. Anybody who has used a Galaxy 8 knows the thin profile and curved edges make the phone hard to pick up off a flat surface. This provides protection and gives you a little something to grab onto without adding a lot of bulk. Soft enough to grab hold easily but firm enough to get in and out out of a pants pocket. I like that because the case for my prior phone was soft rubber and thick and every time I tried to get it out of my pocket it grabbed and pulled everything else out with it. Corners have thicker padding and extend just above the height of the the glass screen. Haven't tested extent of drop protection - and don't plan to - but it looks like it would offer the protection it advertises.

I have purchased 3 cases for various phones over the past 6 years and have never been disappointed. The cases project a high-quality and appearance. What I enjoy most is that they are slim yet provide ample protection for your phone. The case has a very nice tactile kind of feel and provides just the right amount of grip to prevent an accidental drop. It is also easy to remove if needed. My only problem is that I had a difficult decision in choosing which one of all of the Caseology cases that I liked the best for my new GS8. Guess I am going to have to buy several more and change them up occasionally!

Great case, perfect fit and screen protector fits right in in the available space. Rear access for fingerprint scanner is freat, best case you can get, another great case form Caseology

Perfect case, makes the phone fit in my hand perfectly, easy to grip and protects the phone well, I've dropped it many times with a scratch or crack still yet to appear.Only downside is the back can get a bit dirty with dust and bits, but it's simple to clean with a toothbrush.

Man muss natürlich wissen was man will. Bei dieser Hülle steht klar der Schutz im Vordergrund. Wer eine Hülle sucht die das Design des Galaxy S8 möglichst wenig verändert, ist hier falsch. Die Hülle macht des Gerät etwas klobiger, fühlt sich aber toll an und ist hochwertig verarbeitet. Die Ränder oben und unten sind auch dick genug um zu verhindern das das Display aufliegt wenn man das Handy auf einen Tisch legt. Ich denke das die Kanten einen guten Schutz bieten. Die Hülle ist passgenau, Knöpfe lassen sich gut drücken und alle Öffnungen liegen frei. Genau das was ich gesucht habe.Nachtrag: Mir ist jetzt noch aufgefallen dass sich das Seitenpanel vom S8 etwas schwieriger öffnen lässt, da die Umrandung auf der rechten Seite relativ hoch ist. Diese hohe Umrandung kommt natürlich dem Displayschutz zugute, macht es aber etwas schwieriger das Seitenpanel auf zuwischen. Da ich es nicht so oft nutze, stört mich das nicht, ist für andere potenzielle Käufer aber eventuell interessant.
