Good price
My Blue and Gold Macaw initially did not eat these. I tried mixing it in with other foods but my guess is that because of the brown color, it did not look too appealing to her. So what I did was leave only that in her bowl and she eventually had no choice but to eat it when she got hungry. Surprisingly after a few days, she started eating it on her own. And there is very little wasted at the bottom of the cage. She eats majority of it. I guess it took some getting used to.

Not a good match for my parrot
My parrot didn’t like this. Also the food stunk up the room.

I'm on the fence about this
Pros- my parrots do eat it & no seed hulls.Cons- unpleasant aroma. Colors the birds droppings dark like the pellets, this hides any signs of illness that would appear by this method.Another disturbing note: Granted that the cause probably was exponentially exaggerated by my recent health issues that prevented me from being active enough to keep cages clean, but I have never had a cluster fly infestation. Were they simply drawn by the sweetness (molasses, etc) or were they incubating in the soft pellets? 20 years at this residence with my parrots and 1st time using the Nutrisoft pellets I get fly infestation? I think I can count on my right hand how many flies in 20 years I've had indoors. But now 50-70? Unsettling and still a couple stragglers are flying about. Coincidence? My second bag remains unopened trying to decide if the colorized droppings really should concern me (as my iron supplement colors my waste), because my guys can't tell me that they are feeling poorly and nature intuits them not to show weaknesses. Admittedly, I kinda want to use 2nd bag just to determine the cluster fly cause.
