Awesome clock!
I absolutely love this clock. It is beautiful, and keeps perfect time to the world clock we all use in our cell phones. It has not skipped a minute since putting the battery in it! I love the design, and the 'Regulator' printed on the glass. Best part is that the chime mechanism has an on and off switch. We have hung this in our bedroom, so we turn off the chime. I did test the chime and it is clear, and loud. No volume control, but if I used the chime, I would not care of its loudness. I have no regrets, and I researched a lot before I ordered this one; it is perfect.

This clock is a piece of crap
The clock is reported to be a Westminster Chime clock, but in reality it is a cheap imitation. It chimes on the hour, but does not follow with the number of hours as most westminster chimes do. It also has a really cheap audio reproduction and not a single way to adjust the volume. It chimes 24 hours and there is no way to suppress the chimes during the nighttime hours as most clocks do. Last of all, it loses time so it is not even a dependable time keeper. I am sorry I bought this one and will be more careful with my purchases from this vendor. I wish there were some way to return it for my money.

Not as described
Okay, so I have found customer reviews extremely helpful in making selections and typically review them carefully. I guess this time, I somehow didn't read the reviews because the clock definitely does not function as the description states. While I don't agree the chimes are obnoxious, they are very loud and there is not a volume control. What really irks me is the description specifically states the chimes will automatically stop overnight. They don't. The only way to stop the chimes at night is to manually turn them off, then turn them on again each morning. On top of this, the clock this morning has decided to chime every minute rather than every hour. Boy did it get turned off in a hurry. This clock is definitely going back!

I bought this clock to replace what appeared to be its predecessor from Seth Thomas, which I received as a gift 11 years ago. The older one had stopped working, but once upon a time, it had an hourly strike and quarter-hour chime. This new clock has neither - its only audible feature is an hourly chime - and it sounds like a cheap doorbell. We hate it. The clock looks really pretty, but if you're looking for an appealing, old-fashioned chime and strike, you'll have to pay more for a better clock.

Schoolhouse Wall Clock
The Seth Thomas Reginald Oak Finish Schoolhouse Wall Clock in our dinning room. The color of the clock looks very rich and attractive which matches our Eathen Allen dining room furniture. Very pleased with the purchase.

Nice Clock
The clock is very nice. The chimes are a bit lame sounding and they have no volume control. You must choose to hear them at full blast or not at all.
