As advertised. Some notes: Screws included are not Black but silver and the mounting bar for this does not have a hole in the center to run the wire through if you need to.

Why have a black light cover but silver screws? I had to dig out some paint that'd stick to the screws. Otherwise it stood out to much

We really didn't have hope that these were going to work, but they were worth trying as an alternative to similar ones with the nubs that hold the kit up to the ceiling. We found these more aesthetically pleasing. We used these to cover the ceiling boxes for two pendant lights in our kitchen.Pros:Cheap - they are the cheapest we found out there.Side installation - one of the few canopy kits that do not have the install screws coming through the horizontal part of the surface. These have screws that screw in the vertical surface to the ceiling mount.Cons:Cheap - this kit comes with NOTHING other than the ceiling mount and two side screws. You will need all of the mounting hardware that comes with your light. It doesn't even come with screws to fix the base to your ceiling box. One of the holes is SLIGHTLY off center, not enough to notice it unless you are type-A but worth mentioning.Silver Side Screws - this can be part of the "cheapness" as well, but the side screws sent are silver instead of black. Eventually we won't notice, but right after installation it will bug you!Overall low expectations, but you know what, the damn things worked pretty well. 4 stars.

Back these go. I was reviewing similar kits and somehow bought these. They come with nothing, not even the hook to hang from. I have 2 stars bcz I like the modern look (vs some old fashioned looking ones that I've bought before) but I am returning and getting some that come with everything I need.
