I am trying to achieve a nirvana of minimalistic travel, but two things have been defeating me. The perfect shoes are another story for another time, but I think this sling bag is going to be an excellent solution to my other issue–which is the perfect multifunctional bag. I am pairing it with this organizer in large: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZFIKANE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - it just fits, and while the shape of the bottom of the organizer isn't quite right, it can be snapped up like an envelope or not, and it's light and squishy - I think it works well to add structure, but without adding structure, if that makes any sense.I already travel with a crossbody wallet - it's awesome. Black and small, I can use that in addition to my "one personal item" on budget airlines and no one gives it a second look. It lets me keep my phone, lipbalm, cards and money close at hand. However, it fails when it's time to add a pair of eyeglasses, sunshades, hand lotion...well, all the things I might want to carry around when I get to my destination, but not want to lug around my backpack. Enter this awesome hobo sling. It's so thin so it won't take up any room in my personal item, light enough not to add weight while I'm hoofing it around being a tourist, has a comfortable wide strap, and is also big enough I could even throw in my airbook if I'm running to a coffee shop to work.From a multifunctional standpoint It has plenty of room to also hold anything I pick up shopping, it would work as a beach bag, an on-campus bag when I'm not toting the weight of the world, and it can even double as a dirty laundry bag for a light load. Slung over the shoulder crossbody, I can reach my hand to the bottom (I'm 5'6 and chunky, but thankfully doesn't fall too close under the boob), and marvelously, it has a zipper to secure things from spilling if I were to use it as a personal item (when I do travel with a carry-on) and shove it under the seat. Finally, the inner zipper pocket is just long enough to keep my Honor 7x up top and easy to access. Fun bohemian pattern (got the koi).So, as others have noted - this is large. More like a shopping bag than a 'purse'. I couldn't really find anything half size, however that would have been so easy to pack away in limited space, and now that I'm thinking it through, I think this is fine. Go boho. Second, it certainly isn't going to guard against a bag slasher, so it's not going to be that sort of travel handbag. I decided however that I would most likely guard any valuables differently if I felt I was going to be in that sort of situation. It's not normally a concern for me; but it might be a consideration for others. And, it's versatile - can go with jeans or a dressier outfit.Now, if only it came in basic black, sigh. The pattern is busy esp for a large item...so unless all your outfits are solid neutrals, there is a good chance it will clash. I would order another one on the spot (yes, keeping this one because it's amazingly adorable and will go quite a few of my outfits). But, simple black would really take this to a level of versatility I'd swoon over. I am going to try one from another seller...fingers crossed that one will be just as nice!

I bought this for our recent trip to the beach/surrounding areas. It was perfect! I am not someone who carries a purse but I brought this thing all over. It is thin and has only one small pocket but it fit me perfect and could hold SO much! I had sunscreen, sunglasses, and three big water bottles in it at any given time plus other odds and ends that my kids needed me to hold (it still wasn’t overly full. It also fit a giant binder that I had a bunch of study materials in for a test I am taking at the same as having a bunch of other stuff plus a big metal water bottle. This bag got thrown around, stepped on, covered in sand, and it worked perfectly! I’m 5’5 and 135 lbs and if fit perfectly at my waist, it wasn’t too big or too small (like a lot ofreviews said) and it’s cute. I’d definitely recommend to anyone going on vacation and needing a conveniently large but stylish bag.

Bag is cute and should serve it's purpose. It is lightweight so I'm not sure how much weight it will carry but generally I'd say it will hold up. It is nice and large - but not too big. It wasn't very soft so I washed it hoping that would soften it up but it's about the same. Held up to washing well though - cold water, hang dry. I saw an answer to a question that said it was fully lined but the one I received was not lined at all - seemed ok without it though. Also, had no smell or odor when I opened the bag it came in. Just smelled like cloth.

Nice bag, love the design

This is my worst Amazon purchase ever, I'm sorry to say. It was to be a gift, but not only did it arrive late, it smells TERRIBLE and the quality is very poor. The material is thin and had a strange, almost sticky feel. I'm afraid to even let my daughter use it for fear that its loaded with toxic chemicals or something by the odor and feel of the material. I would not recommend this product, and wonder why I'm paying a monthly fee for Amazon Prime two day shipping, when products don't arrive on time??

So I'm in love with this bag. It's huge! I'm not a handbag/pocketbook person, but this bag is awesome. You can fit so much stuff in it. I'm 5'11" and it hits right at my hip. The zipper is a nice feature, added security so that when you sit the bag down nothing will spill out. There is also a attached zipper pouch, perfect size for your phone. It's not lined and super lightweight. Would recommend ten times over.

It's big and durable. I love the design and it's comfy.I bought this over 2 years ago and the zipper is ripping from the bag itself. But the the bag as a whole is still perfectly fine. I jam pack my purses with the most random of things and this purse has held up.The zipper is a small part of it and doesn't bother me and took over 2 years to come apart.For what I paid and how long and we'll it's holding up it's worth it.
