Arkansas Sharpeners Whetstone Large

Arrived on time and was very well packaged.I thought it was going to be more of an oil stoneonly however when it came in i found that it isa water / oil stone... and the grit is not as smoothas I was hoping for maybe around a 700

When i first got this stone i was not to impressed. I set it aside for about 3 weeks thinking it would not be worth trying.Boy was i wrong! Today i tried sharpening two of the same straight razors. First razor i used 4 differant stones and ended with a shapton12,000 m5, for the second razor i used just this stone! To my suprise they were equally as sharp! Would love it if there was an 8"x3" version would buy in heart beat!

be sure to use a lubricant, water or oil, and also use patience

Sharpens my blades quite well. Good stone

I have numerous Arkansas whetstones, and love them, but for some reason, I cannot get a knife sharp on this one.
