Q: Has anyone had this for a while (more than a year-ish) and can speak to the durability of this? I see that it's dishwasher safe, but does it last?

I bought 3 in 2015 & am still using them daily. In fact, I have purchased more over the years for myself & as gifts. I currently have one by my coffee maker to place a spoon in after stirring coffee, one by my microwave for utensils, one by on range island, & one on my cabinet beside the oven where I keep my air fryer. I also keep an extra one under the cabinet to use when we are cooking or eating outside. They all look like they did at the time I purchased them even though I occasionally wash them in the dishwasher. I only do that occasionally because all I normally need to do is just rinse them off in the sink!

Q: Is Amco still making the silicone base spoon rest? It says it is currently unavailable. I need the silicone base so it won't scratch my glass cooktop.

I don't know, but I have a glass cooktop (a GE, and the large stainless steel spoon rest which I keep on my glass stove surface and it has not scratched my stove surface. Good Luck.

Yes, those dimensions do look a bit strange. I measured mine and it is 9" long, 3-3/4" at it's widest (the spoon bowl) and 1-1/2" at it's narrowest (the handle). I still love this spoon rest. It goes into the dishwasher everyday and still looks like new. I've had it for quite a few years -- hope the quality is as good as when I bought mine.

Q: Is this the original "Amco Stainless 8369" or some light weght imitation? It will be stamped as such on the back.

Sorry, I purchased the large spoon rest by Amco, which is different from this. Mine does not say "original" on the back (or the front where it says "Amco." This won't help but it, purchased in 2015, is very heavy and strong. Good luck!
