Panasonic Wrist BP Monitor Is a Winner!
This 5-Star BP monitor couldn't be easier to use. Even though Wrist Blood Pressure cuffs are notorious for their lack of accuracy, this product ensures accuracy through the use of a sensor that detects whether the wrist is level with the heart giving a more accurate reading. The black arrow on the tab on the top edge helps the user line up the sensor correctly with the branchial artery. There's even a Guest button labeled "G" for easy identification; this allows family/friends to check their bp w/o interfering with your averages. The beige hard-shelled case keeps your new tool safe & clean. Take note of how it's placed in the case; it can be tricky to put it back where it came from. The only CON I've found is that the screen doesn't have a back-light. If only the display were as bright as pictured.

Functions as advertised
UPDATE 7/13/2017: After using this for about a year, my other complaint is that I have to use a light to read the results. It would be nice to see the display with a built-in light when the need arises. Of course, that would shorten the life of the batteries. It's still functioning on the original batteries.Functions just fine. My only complaint at this point is that it does not store in memory the results of the current session unless the MR button is pressed. On many other devices this is done automatically.

Excellent quality and value.
This unit is excellent.- User interface is very well designed. Easy to read and setup.- Wrist height detector adds to measurement accuracy- The averaging feature and graph are nice featuresI previously purchased a no name unit for about the same price and it died after a week. The Panasonic was about the same price and does everything better.

This unit works very well. I took it to my doctor and he compared it with the readings taken by his sphygmomanometer and they were the same, so it is accurate. It works for a long time without need for a battery change. I find it easy to use and has a lot of memory features to enable monitoring blood pressure rise and fall over time.

I seem to get very accurate readings with this device. Much more accurate than the unit I had. I like that it tells you when your arm is at the correct angle. Comes with very detailed instructions. It seems like anything I have purchased with the Panasonic name has been dependable and of good quality. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to store and track the readings of more than one person. Very satisfied overall.

Inaccurate!
When I went to the dentist, they were using this monitor and I thought to myself that this would be a nice monitor since you don't have to mess with all the hoses and cuffs. It is all a nice neat package! I didn't do my normal research before I bought and what a mistake!I have never had high blood pressure and at the dentist office it read 140/92 and I figured it was just because I was nervous. I didn't put much stock in it. I had this unit overnighted and started tracking my pressure and it was consistently above 140 and as high as 172 for systolic and between 80 and 90 for the diastolic. I was getting a little nervous thinking I was starting to get high blood pressure.I used my old unit and I had normal blood pressure so I wasn't sure which unit was correct so I googled wrist blood pressure monitors to do a little research I should have done before I bought it! I found an article from the Mayo Clinic that says wrist monitors can be accurate if used exactly as directed, which I did, but "Even then, it's thought that because of differences in the width of the arteries in your forearm, and how deep the arteries are under your skin, blood pressure measurements taken at the wrist are usually higher and less accurate than those taken at your upper arm."[...]I returned this unit to Amazon and bought another monitor for the upper arm. It's too bad these units are not accurate because it was nice having such a compact simple little unit!

Dropped dead after 18 months of light use (24 month warranty)
Updated Review: Originally purchased July 2016 and gave a 5 star review. It comes with a 24-month warranty but stopped working January 2018. Was fine until then but proved not to be durable. Light use for 18 months and then dropped dead.Original review: I monitored blood pressure with this unit and also a electric-corded monitor that used an upper-arm sleeve on a daily basis over several weeks. The difference in readings was negligible (your BP will fluctuate from one minute to the next) to non-existent, so I am confident of reliable accuracy. I also like the fact this wrist-model does not tether you to an electrical outlet, and also does not 'crush' your arm like some of the sleeve-style units. That's pretty much all I look for in a BP monitor" Don't bruise me and be accurate. This unit is a relief.

Great Budget Blood pressure monitor
This is a fine blood pressure monitor, and for the price it's a great choice if you can live with a slightly high error margin. The Good:- BPM measures blood pressure fast- Detects correct hand position automatically- Good build quality- Large Display, big numbers, very easy to read- Easy to follow instructions and easy usageThe Bad:- No Backlight for the display, you will not be able to see a thing if there is no light around you- Some times accuracy feels off, I can measure BP 2 times in a row and the readings can be off by 5-10% ... doesn't happen very frequently, but certainly makes you doubt the measurement and take it a couple of times to make sure. All in all, great value, great quality ... and I'm happy with my purchase

Perfect Blood Pressure
Despite the intense marketing and product placement from our competitive unit. I have decided to purchase the Panansonic unit instead. No only it is much cheaper, it works well and easy. I definitely recommend this product for anyone who wish to use it on the go.
