These whistles are great to keep on your key chain for an emergency or wear around your neck. they are very light weight so they will not hurt the cars ignition weighs less than another key. I used these for training my dog and was surprised how far the sound carries for the size. especially in open fields. People who hunt know what I am talking about. This whistle is made of aluminum not plastic, so it has lasted much longer than the other ones I have had. I have also used the ring and attached a whistle to my coat. I have also given my kids each a whistle so they could put it on their key rings or coats for safety. Yes they are really that loud. It will get people to notice unless they can not hear.
