Fintie Case for Kindle Paperwhite, [Blade Series] Premium Protective Leather Cover Auto Wake/Sleep for all-new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (Fits all 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 Versions), Brown

First of all I would like to say that I have generally had a good experience with Fintie products in the past. I have purchased two Fintie cases for my tablet, and have been generally pleased with them. The cases I previously purchased did what I wanted them to do and the price was right. So when I was looking for a case for my new Kindle Paperwhite I was very glad to see that they had an offering. I have a buddy that has the leather Amazon cover with the magnetic clasp and his looks really sharp and works really well. I was overjoyed when I saw that Fintie had a case with a magnetic clasp and a smart brown color similar to my friends case, but less than half the price. Naturally I ordered the case. The package arrived today, and I was immediately pleased with the looks of the product. I was equally happy to put my Kindle into it quickly because I was writing a paper and using the Kindle as a resource. Who doesn't like to use all of their new toys at once? It fit well enough and seemed to work well at first. But then as I was holding my kindle with the flap folded back, as it is supposed to be used and how I will typically use it, I noticed that the case was periodically turning my Kindle on and off. I am not sure if this is a problem with the fit, or the magnets, or something else I may not know about. According to what I've read from the relating return policies, I would have to pay to have this shipped back to the seller and get a replacement sent back to me. I'm not interested in waiting all of that time and spending more money to remedy a situation that should have been right in the first place. I just wanted to let other people know about my experience before they spend their hard earned money on something that might not work well for them. I cannot recommend this product to anybody because it turns your Kindle off while you are reading it.

I like this case because it does a great job of protecting the device and the magnetic closure puts the Paperwhite in sleep mode. When you open the flap the Kindle wakes up. Light and easy to hold with one hand, fits the Kindle snugly, and feels sturdy. I opted for the brown because it was the least expensive option and I just wanted protection - I was not trying to make a fashion statement. This serves my purpose, but I have to say there are much nicer shades of brown they could have chosen. This is sort of a caramel color and only just barely reminds me of leather because of the imprinted texture. This is not any kind of actual hide. So five stars for function and one star for looks explains my 3 star rating. If you are looking for a something classy or elegant this is not the case for you. However, this is an excellent value.

This is a nice looking cover that fits my Kindle Paperwhite It automatically turns my Paperwhite on when I open it and turns it off when I close it. My big complaint about it is when I fold the cover back to hold my Paperwhite in one hand it sometimes shuts it OFF!!I will be reading and all of a sudden it shuts off then I have to unfold the cover from touching the back to turn it on again. This gets frustrating after a while. I am looking for a different cover with out the "auto turn on" feature. I will push the button to turn it on & off so my reading will not be disturbed, as this happens frequently. This cover also adds to the weight of the combination of cover and Paperwhite . This is much heavier than my Original Kindle with a cover.

The brown case I bought is very classy. Makes my kindle look like a real book.I like the fact that the case has a minimal design with no gimmicky pockets, pen holders, straps etc. I am sure some people like those features. For me I need something that looks good and adequately protects the kindle. This case does that job really well.The kindle fits into the case very well without covering any region on the front side of the kindle. That gives the kindle a very clean look even when it is inside the case.The only thing I did not like was that the kindle felt heavier after I put it in the case. Maybe they can find a lighter material that can do the job equally well?

I like the look of the case and it fits very nicely. However, I have major complaint which will result in me having to return the case. When I flip the cover open and fold it backwards onto the case, the magnet is too strong and shuts the Kindle off as if I were closing the cover. This is very annoying renders the case practically useless since I cannot fold the cover back to hols the Kindle with one hand.

When I ordered this I had anticipated it to be thicker and more practical. The magnet inside keeps turning the display off if I have the case open and am reading something. It's rather annoying to have your finger between both the front and back of the kindle/case. However, I can get over that little issue. Please just try and fix it so that it doesn't interfere with the performance of the Kindle.

I was slightly disappointed but it does provide minimal protection for your kindle, but needs something to hold kindle inside when cover is open.

My kindle didn't fit well.. The case was slightly bigger.. so I had to literally use tape to hold it.
