I would give this chair an overall 4.5.Bought this chair for my girlfriend since her cheap chair is deteriorating rather quickly.Pros:-Assembling this chair is relatively easy.-Sitting feels comfortable enough (tier 1), comparable to my Aeron chair.Cons:-Might be a little overpriced. The entire plastic structure tells, judging from its look, tells no difference comparing to the less expensive office chairs.-I really don't like the headrest design: You can only adjust the height (vertically). I feel like my neck is being pushed forward.

This chair was a complete disappointment and I didn't even bother fully assembling it before I decided to return the dang thing. Why? Well, read-on fellow shoppers...The chair arrived in a largely intact box with no signs of major shipping damage. However, when I opened the box, I found that the lumbar support piece was missing a screw, the remaining screw was cross-threaded, and the hinge which connects it to the seat-back also had cross-threaded screws (see photos.) After finding the screw at the bottom of the box and a bunch of fiddling around with my own tools (the included Allen-Key was too large to reach these fasteners,) I was able to get everything installed straight in spite of the damage that had already been done to the threads. Do note that I did not expect this repair to last long as there were significant damage to the threads of the screws and the seat-parts which - no doubt - weakened the entire assembly. It was quite clear that these issues did not come from shipping damage, just bad QC/Assembly at the factory.Let's take a moment to forgive the factory defects in order to judge the chair fairly based on its comfort and ergonomic features. Starting from the top, going down:Headrest: I'm tall, but not abnormally so (6'1".) In order to have the headrest be high enough for me while sitting up, I had to slide it past the detents and just let it sit on its stem in the slot. This isn't how you're supposed to use it, but it did give the correct height. In this configuration it was quite wobbly, but to give it a fair comparison to a correctly assembled/adjusted headrest, I'll note that it was also quite wobbly in a proper detent as well. As far as comfort, it felt quite nice, and had lots of angle adjustment to get things just right.Seat-back: No height adjustment which would have been fine if I couldn't feel the top of the frame digging into my shoulder blades when I leaned back. This clearly wasn't made for people over 5'8".Lumbar Support: The hinge mentioned above connects the lumbar support to the seat back in a way that allows for almost no movement/flexibility. On top of that, the connection forces the lumbar frame and seat-back frame to grind against each other when moving around. It is laughable that they call this "Dynamic Lumbar Support", the design is a complete engineering failure and offers no real support or dynamic adjustment to your movement.Seat: The sliding adjustment felt adequate. I was able to find a comfortable spot for it and it seemed that I could still move it in either direction if I wanted to. The seat comfort was awful. Actually the mesh felt quite nice and yielding. However, I'm quite light (145lbs) and my legs were easily able to sink far enough into the seat that the foam at the front edge created a noticeable pressure point on the back of my thighs near the knee. The only way to avoid this was to have the seat high low enough that my legs weren't touching the front of the seat. This is unacceptable. Anyone heavier than me must experience this problem much more readily than I did.Adjustment paddle: This thing seemed to do the job fine but was a bit flimsy and had a fair amount of play in the cable lines. I expect that any stretch in the cables over time may have caused things to not respond easily. Also it sticks out quite far from the side of the seat which just seems like a strange design desicion.Seat-back tilt tension adjustment: Goes between a little too stiff and way too stiff.Base/Casters: Base looked nice and seemed strong (a single cast piece of aluminum.) The casters felt real smooth and have a very cool hollow center design. Also they removed easily during disassembly which helped me get this dang chair back in the box and off to UPS for return.I didn't bother installing the arm-rests because of how terrible it was to sit in this chair, so I wont give any comment other than they look nice.In conclusion, I can't believe the shortcomings of this chair for this price. I would expect similar quality (or lack thereof) from a chair that costs under $200. I was considering the Nouhaus Ergo3d for a lot less, but I wanted the extra seat adjustability. Unfortunately a sliding seat and synco-tilt couldn't save this catastrophe of design and comfort.I tried out the X-Chair X2 which is twice the price at $1k and almost identical in appearance. I thought I was going to be able to get something similar and save $500 with this chair, but sadly I was mistaken. I guess you get what you pay for, but man, $1k for a chair is hard to justify for me..

I ordered this chair because I needed something to help support my lumbar and allow me to sit comfortably for hours at a time. This chair says it's good for anyone over 5'4", I am 5'6" and my feet dangle off in most positions. I had to get a foot rest to put my feet on so that my hips don't hurt at the end of the day and even then the chair isn't great. I would only recommend this chair for people over 5'8" or maybe even 5'10" to be safe.

Dang, so close at finding the perfect chair. At the lowest setting, my feet cannot touch the floor. don't want to rely on a stool, will have to return and keep looking. Really a shame, I'm considered to have the average male height, and it's too big..... This is Honestly ridiculous It's a height adjustable chair and they can't make it go lower for whatever reason. Something so simple causing over half the population to not be able to comfortably sit on the chair.

Set up relatively quick and I am not super handy. I’m 6ft 220lbs and immediately helped with posture after months of working from home on a couch. I upgraded for the wheels and materials vs the the great reviews at the lower Nouhaus model. Not sure it is worth it for most people. Happy with it.

Love this chair had for about a week and it’s just amazing. Easy assembly, sturdy, high quality. I sit at a desk 10 hours a day definitely worth the investment. I see no issue with it. Thank you nohaus
