Kinsman Enterprises 40023 Pen and Pencil Weights Pack of 3

Got these for my son after his OT suggested it for writing. They provide a nice, heavy weight for his pencil (can be used with pens too). Easy to put on and off whatever writing utensil you are using. Once he got over it's novelty which was a distraction, it has helped him with stability when writing.

These pencil weights seem to help the child grasp the pencil better. Child is writing better when using these weights. When not using, writing is sloppy and not formed. You can tell a big difference. It is worth trying out for your child for the price that it costs you can't go wrong.

There is a marked improvement in my writing when using these weights.I would like to see them 2 or 3 times their weight.They have a tendency to slide along the pencil too easily.They work best if you hold the pencil as close to the tip as possible and then slide down as close to your fingers as possible.You must grasp the pencil, not the weight itself, as that will cause the weight to slide all the way down on the pencil.

Helped my Son start writing right away. He was having such a hard time with his sensory strength etc. That this really made a change at school and at home!

After using these wit my son, we realize the issue may require more than just a heavy pencil.

Because of my hand tremor, I was unable to write legibly . With these weights I'm slow, but I can now sign my name and write short notes. I'm pleased after being told several times to just put down an "X". How humiliating!

These are the exact ones that they used at the Occupational Therapy center to help with some hand issues my kid is having. Very well made. Very heavy. I wish they came in better colors.

My grandson's OT suggested this since he exerts unnecessary pressure when writing. It helped in his OT sessions so we're using it at school and home now.
