Kinsman Enterprises 40023 Pen and Pencil Weights Pack of 3

Got these for my son after his OT suggested it for writing. They provide a nice, heavy weight for his pencil (can be used with pens too). Easy to put on and off whatever writing utensil you are using. Once he got over it's novelty which was a distraction, it has helped him with stability when writing.

These are the exact ones that they used at the Occupational Therapy center to help with some hand issues my kid is having. Very well made. Very heavy. I wish they came in better colors.

My son has a tremor in his writing hand and these were recommended by his OT to help control it. His handwriting has improved greatly with the help of the weights. I thought they were a little pricey, but it was well worth the investment. They come in a 3-PK so we sent one to school and he uses one at home for homework, and then one for a spare.

There is a marked improvement in my writing when using these weights.I would like to see them 2 or 3 times their weight.They have a tendency to slide along the pencil too easily.They work best if you hold the pencil as close to the tip as possible and then slide down as close to your fingers as possible.You must grasp the pencil, not the weight itself, as that will cause the weight to slide all the way down on the pencil.

Writing with my essential tremor has been getting to the impossible stage, but this weight has helped immensely and nothing else has helped my writing...!

After using these wit my son, we realize the issue may require more than just a heavy pencil.

Got these for my son to help with his handwriting issues. They didn't really work for him. The pencil just got so heavy after continuous use, and was hard to keep up. Didn't improve his handwriting, but may work well for others. It is nice, and doesn't fall off the pencil.

My clients all want to at least try them and I have a number of students who benefit from using this grip. You can slide the weight up towards the top of the pencil to let the pencil rest more in the webspace, or slide it down and let the student use it as a grip. Some students who are very adverse to writing have found writing tasks to be less of a chore.

We bought these on the recommendation of an OT for my seven-year old son. They have made his writing clearer.
