Is this the new improved version…I have read new controllers have some upgrades on mechanics?

Unfortunately the only way to find out is to order one and see if the serial code indicates if it is the new improved controller. The serial code / product code should have a capital A at the end of it.

How does this controller set up? It’s charged but not connecting to my sons ps5 I’ve went through setting and everything not coming up to pair it!

You have to plug it in with the usb that connect to the ps5 (your son must have it) and it will come Up with controller update. Well that’s how it worked for me

Dunno but it charges like the main controller and seems to last longer than the grey one you get with the console
