It's OK, a little lighter action than it should be but it's OK. One of the eyelets became loose but I just reset it tightly and it's holding for now. The reel is actually the better part of thus combo. Was surprised how light the turns were while still pulling fish. Don't load the rod too much and you'll be fine.

It was difficult to lineup all the guides due to no indication lines on the rod other than that it is a great quality rod and reel combo,I haven’t used it yet but it will be a finesse rod for bass or other fish

Great gift!
I bought two of these. One for my dad to keep on his kayak and one for my step dad to keep on his pontoon and they both love them! It’s a great idea and a compact design. The kit comes in a zipper case with a foam insert. They both took the foam out once they assembled everything so they could store more fishing g accessories in the bag. It’s great! I would buy again!
