Piece of crap
This product sucks! In 6 months of use the bottle opener has suffered more damage than the bottle caps I’ve removed. Corkscrew point is so dull (either a new safety point designed by lawyers or a really cheap piece of Chinese crap) that you have to really push it down into the cork to get it to grip. It finally broke cutting my finger. Save your money and buy something off eBay that was made in the 1950s and will still hold up today. One star rating was too high

Designed and built to last.
I have owned many wine and bottle openers however, the "Two Chefs" corkscrew and bottle opener is streets ahead of the others. The opener is very well made, easy to use and clearly designed to last. I have no doubt my children will inherit this sturdy and useful device.

Junk, shreds healthy corks
Junk. There is no sharp point on the screw, so it shreds even the most fresh cork.

I like this product on the first look
I like this product on the first look. The black piece is plastic and it was delivered with crack on it.. I tried to use and entire black park broke into pieces. I hope this can be replaced or the manufacturer provides a replacement. I have the broken one and can upload pics if required.

Product just ok, seller is very courteous and concerned about customers satisfaction.
The product arrived in a timely fashion and was packaged very well for shipping. It works ok, but because of the corkscrew design ( having a core like an auger), tends to make it a bit harder to start into the cork in my opinion. It needs a bit of a push to get it started, where as the old style corkscrew would draw itself in very readily on my old one. I like the fact that it doesn't have some kind of plastic washer where it makes contact with the bottle neck, its just a smooth surface. The lower auger part that screws into the cork and the hinge pins for the handles are a ferrous material ( I tested it with a magnet ), the rest of the center shaft above the auger portion and all other parts are non magnetic. not certain of the composition of those other parts. The black material appears to be some sort of hard plastic. There is quite a bit of slop in the hinge area and the black plastic ears flex quite easily, possible weak area that may fail at some point. Also it is made in China, as most everything is these days. I feel it should be a more solid product considering the price. I rate the seller a 5 star rating on their service and follow up on customer satisfaction. Very thoughtful it seems to me.

Broke after only a few months of very light use. Cheap plastic construction. Disappointing.
