Q: How big is the diameter?

On my digital caliper, it is 6.2mm, or just slightly under 1/4 inch. Its the thinner pull rod, with similar diameter as Mapex and Sonor hihat stands I've had. The larger diameter pull rods are like pearl, Ludwig, around 7mm diameter. The Gibraltar sc-hhrm is 6.3mm diameter.

Q: Has tama used different sizes pull rods? will this one work with an early 80s tama titan direct drive hi-hat stand?

It's the same size as the tama hihat stand i had in the 80s.
